MRT breakdown affects 6,500 commuters

SINGAPORE: Some 6,500 commuters were affected by a train delay along the East-West MRT line on Friday evening.
An SMRT spokesperson said a westbound train at Kallang MRT Station encountered a train fault and had to be taken out of service at 5.50pm.
This disrupted the westbound train service between Kallang and Bugis for 20 minutes.
But passengers on the westbound services between Kallang to Joo Koon experienced even longer waiting times due to the heavy evening peak-hour rush.
To maintain service on unaffected stretches, trains were turned around at Eunos and Bugis.
SMRT apologises for the inconvenience caused. It says passengers unable to complete their journeys can file a claim at any of its 68 stations within the next three working days.

increase price everytime, but service never improve.
always breakdown, get fine so what? they should have one whole day free ride to compensate the delays and fare deductions made to commuters. what want us to have long queue to get refund? waste our time again? depot get break in even installed CCTV - those CCTV is to film people upskirt one issit? any terrorist go inside i bet the CCTV also no use. worse, this goit annalled twice
train so big not enough seats, handhols also at the wrong places.
during suh hours thos bangala and kaypoh aunties and cheenas stadn right in the niddle of entrances, walkways and narrow paths the securities and station control personnel just stand there no initiatiet to ease traffic.
the SMRT personnel workin with their SMRT landyard when walking to lunchbreak walk in a whole broupd block other single road users walk and bump into them still act like they are the king of the road like that.
the stantions so big but the seast arch here and there oh so arsstictics but when everyone sit down can only take a few butts as compared to no nonsense straight oldskool designs. the tvs so loud suddenly playback sound was it halloween eveyday at train stations?

sometimes no or little air con, sweating profusely for the entire trip.
mrt stationary for up to 20-30 seconds at station, delaying the journey and being late for work.

sometimes earlier in the morning aircon full blast! - i can bet you their set it to 22degrees C! in the eraly morning raining day somemore, and they got the fan blowing the cold air in one direction! what design of train AC system is that? and what kinda train oeprator who canot judge the weather condition just blindly turn on set the tempertaure? or the ambient temperature onboard is either not working, not working right, not set right, or on manual.

The excessive time that the train is stationary after stopping at the stations need to be address. I mean seriously, you've closed the door, just go lah. Scrotum scratching should be done while the train is moving.

sometimes is in front got train, or some other train bypassing. they may have stopped for that reason. unless its technical fault really is not an excuse, esp when everytime technical fault and in the train rides you take always technical fault, this is no coincidence already.
