I've noticed that these days the so called 3.5 mins PM peak freq is only applicable between 1800 - 1900 (Marymount - Paya Lebar).
The waiting time is 7 mins even at 1730.
In another note: Seems they start to turn off low usage escalator at 11pm daily. Saw 1 of these escalator at S'goon Int
but I can say dwell time issue is more or less a thing of e past

Yes this is true because there is only SWT between Marymount to Paya Lebar and unlikely they can add more service trains to it (Hear say some of them are CCL 4 / 5 trains such that they go service only when 4 / 5 opens). Furthermore, it is impossible to have a SWT between DBG - PYL because there is no crossover to the middle platform from Dakota side (Which is a dead end).
Regarding esclator low usage thing, I think it is possible, afterall some of the esclators runs only @ peak hours as per signboard and I heard that LTA is evaulating the environmental friendliness of the MRT lines and hence SMRT is doing their part on it.
Examples, when the escalator has no usage over that period of time, the escalator will slow down and thus saves a bit of energy

total shutdown aft 11pm

eh 7 mins being standing at Bishan during PM peak.
Actually there's not enough CCL trains to go around to provide 3 mins freq once CCL4/ 5 commences

That is because you want to go somewhere further than Paya Lebar right? If not sometime is just the system cock up (I met CCL failures, wait for 10mins or so before after CCL 1 / 2 era).

nope
"Next train: Dhoby Ghaut 7 mins"
There's no in bet train, opp towards Marymount it's 7 mins as well.

Too bad, who ask KCD only host about 40 trains for CCL, the other 37 used for DTL. And in the first place, CCL is a 30+km line, how come it has only 1 depot in use? NSL and EWL is slightly 10km+ longer and has 2 ~ 3 depots (EWL depends if Tuas depot counted or not and NSL depends should UPD be counted or not)

PM peak hours? Interesting... No SWTs. The only clue to SWT is the middle platform at PYL where they state its operating hours then.

I think they'd no intention to fully maximise CCL la. It's like a supp line to ease away CBD Int's load as far as possible.
As for NSL, EWL dun forget it's combi 128 together in 3 depot.

it's very likely they've scaled down e PM peak SWT ops.
They must have realised too many empty trains running ard. Seriously PM peak ought to run full trip @ 4.5 mins freq
Well, personally I think they should be maximising their trains and frequency when the rest of the line opens probably late next year.
I'm not surprised if the train does downroutes
say 1715 depart KCD. by 1725 would arr PYL. by 1745 depart Marymount.
Henceforth it would end up Bishan/ Southbound has lesser 3.5 mins SWT trips during PM peak.

By CCL 4 / 5 opens, a hearsay from KCD tour state that it will not end @ Marymount but One-North because between One-North to Kent Ridge has a sidings, similar to one in Stadium - Mountbatten. Hence, I doubt there will be enuff trains to do a 4.5 mins full trip. What abt CCL extension then? I would prefer to see the other side of platform used to terminate trains and 2 trains are used for this extension, at least until the loop is closed.
Look at Sources for the reasons.

if given me, the SWT is likely to run from Promenade to Kent Ridge eventually. But there's no doubt train resources would be e no 1 issue.
I think if I'm not wrong, e AM peak ops ends at 0830

But Promenade has no crossover for SWT to terminate properly, unless the other side is used for CCLe and the back got a JEMP style extension. I just dont understand why LTA never build a (bigger) depot in Bukit Brown so that the train resources is not a problem?
BTW, CCL was originally planned as a LRT without after PYL sector of CCL 2 to DBG (Possibly due to spacing issue, cannot overground, so they upgrade it to MRT and re-divert it to present day CCL 2 and CCL 1), so maybe they have no intention to make the frequency within 5 mins?

The problem w/ them is also overestimate ridership
till to this very day avg CCL riders is 150,000 even its running on matured built up areas
Paya Lebar side notice board still indicates old timing 1715 - 1950 & AM peak 0715 - 0945.

150k riders? I think now is like somewhere 50k is possible la. 150k is nearly impossible even the entire line is open and by then, 100k is the most, correctme if I am wrong.

it's 150,000
starting was just 120,000
their estd was 200,000
