  Timothy, I suggest that you take a look on the circumstances when did the station open as well. I dun like the idea of calling Serangoon as Nex, Bugis as Iluma because these are recent events while some stations like "Ion Orchard" is simply redundant and Orchard should suffice.

   

  Commonwealth should not be named as Britian because we are Singapore, an independent country, which is like using Holland as station name (Hence must Holland Village, I wonder if there are any Dutch (Citizens of Netherlands) working in LTA).

  Eg. Pasir Ris. Everyone here is comfortable with Pasir Ris right? Moreover, Pasir Ris is a town, and its easy to remember. LTA said Stations CAN"T be named after bulidings. The change that make least sense was Kallang.

  Which River? So many rivers in the world, the Nile, the Chang, the Roe, the Missisippi? Perhaps the next station goes to the Congo River in Africa. Hahas!
