Yesterday news reported. A bullet train will be built from China to Singapore.
Countries travelled through are Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, China.
It will be built by 2014
WISH TO SEE NOZOMI500SERIES TRAINS!!!
It will a train made by china. Last week, news reported, China made a SUPER FAST train, breaking world record.
It's like 480km/ph
have done the feasibility study?
2014? death railway ah? make people build until they die. 3 years.
Quite frankly, I don't see the point. I still think that airplanes will prevail for traveling between any two of the countries listed.
if given a fast and clean choice..... i will take train rather than plane anytime... u try more flying in china u will understand why.....
huh China?? confirm more and more china peeps come to singapore become permanent resident..

after this line is opened... the airline fares between
Singapore-Malaysia
Singapore-Thailand
Singapore-China
will be lowered due to competition with bullet train

It will end at China Kunming.
I wonder how fast it will go
fuck lah.. you want more of the bloody PRCs in Singapore?

minimum 300km/h... that is what they previously said. it should be more than 350km/h

fuck lah. I want PRC than Singapore wife can? Fuck u man, as if TS is the one having such plans. BTW, this plan was shelved for fucking long time and now it is time le. Eh, is it possible to use existing KTM rail to do so??
Maybe Tanjong Pagar railway station will be future bullet train terminal? hehe

then you'll have high speed derailments
good luck on your PRC wife then..

What derailments?
Train already break apart la!
It will be less expensive compare to the air flight.
And going to kl will be like taking a mrt from east to west.
If the price is right, I will take the bullet train.
But then, thinking of custom clearing is a bit inconvenience.
it would be interesting to see a traffic police chasing after the train due to speeding
whahahaha
imagine 300km/h in sg, less than 1min from custom to tanjong pagar terminal liao.HAHAS
I've took Shanghai Maglev Train before..
It top speeds is 431km/ph.
The total stretch of 30.5km takes only 8 minutes to complete.
So for example if (IF ONLY,AN EXAMPLE), Singapore has it, from
Joo Koon to Paya Lebar takes only 8 minutes.
China has the record speed of 486 km/ph of an Unmodified train.
A un modified train can go 486km/ph.
The 219km takes only 34 minutes.
wonder if our MRT if accerlate till the very end, will it reach 130km/h ?

It's possible on a steep and straight track, but then when's there a curve.... DERAILMENT.
Like this incident in Japan when the train went 1.5x the maximum speed the train could go -> Amagasaki rail crash
Stations Possible
Singapore(?????)
Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur)
Laos (????)
China (Kunming)
Thailand (?????)
China is a bigass country. What about cities like Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Beijing, and Shanghai? I don't think there's any point in building this unless you cover those three cities.
I especially think it's a bad idea to pass through Laos.
I don't even think this is a nice thing to dream about. There isn't a need for such a rail network, unless the trains can go as fast as planes. But we know that no one has even come close to that yet.
