Posters available at all SMRT Station, BP LRT Line Service C will also be withdrawn on the same day
HAHAHAHAHA!!!! Right to my expectation, TMJ will have to be closed for sometime (I hoped closed once and for all) !!!!!
It is quite sad that they do not just close it once and for all. And best to shift the BPJ la, I tot the plot of land in the BPJ interchange also need to re-develop into condo or shopping centre? Then like that can integrate TMJ / Condo on top of it - New condo along BPJ bus Interchange - BPJ LRT - BPJ MRT (DTL Stage 2)?
PS: Right now as of LTA, BPJ "interchange" is not integrated, it is worse than the one in Choa Chu Kang. CCK one is not integrated for the disabled / people who cannot use the staircase because they will have to get out of the LRT / MRT faregates before proceeding a transfer. But BPJ is everyone must leave the faregate tap out and in again. Well, it is sort of City Hall - Esplanade via underground City Link Mall. Whether if there is any shopping street along the interchange corridor along BPJ is another issue. Main thing is such transfer is likely to be counted as 2 trips, which means cost more and likely to discourage transfers between DTL - BPJ LRT.
BTW, how the depot huh? Park on stations?

Ten Mile Junction closed. LRT still operating.
I think SMRT's losses on LRT would be reduced greatly.

Maybe it's due to the Downtown Line constructing.
Service C as per usual today.
Far East Organization has announced that it plans to build a $100 million development comprising 338 small office-home office (SoHo) units and 121,000 sq ft of retail space at the Ten Mile Junction site.
In February, the developer paid $164 million or $437 psf ppr for the 99-year leasehold site
located at the junction of Woodlands and Choa Chu Kang roads, which
currently houses the Ten Mile Junction shopping mall.
The
SoHo project will be called The Tennery and is set for launch in Q1
next year. More details about the project will be unveiled later this
year, said Far East.
Meanwhile, the developer has begun marketing the retail space in the new mall called Junction
10. It will spend $28 million to retrofit the existing space to create a
“rail lifestyle” concept.
“The railway history of the area dates
as far back as the British colonial era. And with Junction 10's history
as a railway junction, it has inspired us to bring to life some aspects
of the railway into the mall,” said Chng Kiong Huat, executive director
for development & planning at Far East.
“We
have decided to marry modern 21st century design elements with the
nostalgia of railway travel at Junction 10. When completed in Q4 2011,
shoppers and diners can expect a distinct railway chic flavour at this
quaint mall.”
The mall’s décor will feature “rail components” like timber sleepers, rivets and runners. Rental rates will range between $12 psf and $22 psf.
Supermarket chain Giant has taken up over 30 percent of the space at the mall to establish a hypermarket.
Far
East is now looking for other tenants including F&B outlets and
retailers, as well as those offering services like beauty and wellness
services and enrichment courses.

Service C STILL running today.
As for Bt Panjang Interchange, it will be redeveloped into a hub (sort of Toa Payoh Hub) and URA/LTA is gonna make a interchange (bus, MRT and LRT) by underground links.
Temporary bus interchange will be loacted at the heavy vehicle park BESIDE Ten Mile Junction (or Junction 10).

SMRT has responded, stating that "there are plans to withdraw Service C... (h)owever, the exact date of withdrawal has not been firmed up yet."

Withdrawal? Permanent or temporary?
The reason is very simple
Far East needs to use the depot area boundary during the condo construction during daytime.
I believe it's for safety reasons.
So will the trains be left hanging on the tracks at night if the depot is being closed for safety purposes?

That's not possible.
