Other countries metro allow them to take photos/videos, why SMRT and SBST cannot allow. They should start up a club (SMRT/SBST/LTA Train enthus club) to have special privileges like able to take photos or videos. Anyway, they have our particulars if we join that club.

Hope discussion by our P.M Lee.
For Special permission for Train Enthu only.
I spoke to a CSO who works at DBG onboard 012/022 this afternoon, and we chatted about this topic of photography and videography. He told us to write in to SMRT to get approval and get from them some form of authentication letter such that everytime we want to film we just need to produce this letter.

I have tried to suggest a club for us enthusiast. I was told it would be taken into consideration.
I could give it another try though.

Actually you can still take or upload videos in the MRT network, but please buy A.C. Ryan Playon!HD DVD thingy (as you can take but not yet upload), so that privacy may be limited when you upload online.

Sure bo? I saw two polices. Luckily I saw them and doors open Immediately stopped recording. But I don't think there is a SMRT staff inside the end of carriage...

A couple of days ago, jcqh, lionel(I don't really know how to spell his name, sorry!) and I got caught for taking pics of 006/124 by a CSO @ AMK who reported us to the Transcom officers. They took our particulars down, check our cameras and counselled us for an extremely long time.
After some time, they simply let us go. We never mentioned anyone else other than the 3 of us when we were detained in the AMK 1st aid room.
@Veyron16.4
If you record at Ang Mo Kio, very danger. Especially the train at the middle platform.
For now, I have banned for film train at PSR, JUR, AMK, ORC, SOM and DBG.
If resume, to be announce in 2011.

By the way, how they let you off? You all sure delete video right?

if you film at Ang Mo Kio Station, its very dangerous. Especially when there's a train at the Middle platform.
For now, i have banned myself from filming trains at PSR, JUR, AMK, ORC, SOM & DBG.
(I shall not advertise for you)
i will announce when i will resume filming at these stations in 2011.

Not really "counselled" but rather "chatted".
The TransCom officers weren't as scary as what we initially thought and were actually quite friendly once they knew we meant no harm in taking those photos and videos.

I'll write in regarding photography in stations and trains in a while, but should this be to the operators or LTA?
