" We, as Train-enthusiasts were caught By CSO at Ang Mo Kio while train-camping. SMRT has been hunting train/Bus fans with any source of people with a video camera. They have checked YouTube Accounts of train-fans and are slowly tracking down us....We have been warned not to take photos of trains but can spot them..And some are in danger..""warning to all train fan:had information at yishun CSO .SMRT hunting all peeling item and snaping or videoing or rec announcement"
i guess that yishun CSO information is reliable i guess those staying in yishun had seen or talk to her before

If some Foreigner (Tourist) come to Singapore and take a photo. BUT they saw the rules (No Photography) they should be sad and they not welcome Singapore.
IF TERRORIST:
1. No Rules - No Photography / Videography
2. No Rules - No Bag / Haversack or Bulky Item
And what I meant was "No Such Rules in MRT".

1.switch off ur phones or be fined
2.separate trains for women and men
3.give ur seats to old ppl or get kicked out
4.strictly no photography
u think ppl feel welcome in japan or korea as well?

It sure dosen't seem that videography is banned... :p
Anyways welcome isn't important,it's not as if the MRT system was a tourist attraction...

Your facts are very wrong and misleading.
1) You are only fined for not switching on silent mode/switching off your phone when you are in the priority area. In other areas of the train car, you are allow to use them like in Singapore. However, Japanese are more conservative and they speak much softer on the phone.
2) Separate cars for men and women are only initiated during certain times, specifically rush hours.
3) You won't get kicked out of the train by not giving up their seats. You will just be shamed. However, Japanese and Koreans are much more courteous and gracious. Thus, this has become their norm.
4) If there was a ban on photography/videography. Would you explain this video? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDZH47ruv4M

Today while doing Train Camp, 2 groups of Mata Came. One After the other!
Okay, does anyone realize that this is a website that anyone, including the police, can access? I'm just hypothesizing that they could be using information that is given away publicly on this site to help them hunt train enthusiasts like criminals.

1. The Police is already checking some of our Background Information (With SMRT)
2. Many Train Enthusiast was sabotaged, even right now, the Police might be checking our facebook accounts!
All right, in that case, might I suggest that any personal information that is publicly displayed on this site (basically, anything that the civil defense force can use against us) be taken off immediately? It might be a smart decision if you don't want police officers knocking on your door tomorrow morning accusing you of being a terrorist.

Well if u did nothing wrong, theres nothing to worry so why remove? if u remove, they even more suspect.

You remove also pointless, they have the database of all our personal details. And as SBS9231S, it's advised not to remove anything, as this may cause more suspicion.
All right, fine then. Unless they can produce a law that says that what we do is illegal, we aren't in the wrong.

Yup, I think their intention is just to make sure we aren't taking videos/photos for another party to make use of and to plot against the transport system. So long as we have no connection or any interaction with terrorists, there is no reason we get arrested.
My brother is a police officer!
anyway i think its best to keep low profile.
but recording are not banned.i guess the cisco police are just working with both sbstransit and smrt to keep public transport safe.(even though they are irritating)
even SKL/PGL also boarded now a days.

You meant arrested to the police station or jail or what?
Hope SMRT plan to discuss some special permission for taking photo/video. Somehow like signature reveal our IC No. (Only Train Enthusiasts FOS)

You mean the first part of what?
The tourist came to Singapore and trying to take a memories picture in our MRT.
IF the new rules come, they see it and they will unhappy.
No rules?
1) Terrorist - The video shown on the Plasma TV one. About bulky item (Suspicious)
2) Terrorist - No Video/Photography
Those above no such rules in our SMRT. They only trying to keep Singapore safe.

So what you are trying to say is that if tourists (or foreigners) who are impressed by the standard and efficiency want to take memorable pictures on our trains but are restricted by the new rules, they will feel unhappy?
So what happens if there are no rules.
Is that what you are trying to say???

- We have to be vigilant and look out for similar situations as the video played at RATIS' at MRT stations island-wide.
- That terrorists have no rights to take pictures of or take videos in our MRT network.
Is that what you are trying to say???
Yeah.. But you mean terrorists no rights to take picture? They still don't allow us wad.

If these are the only thing trying to keep Singapore safe, I'm afraid Singapore is already gone.
