SGmrt appon mobile phone?

  TITLE: SGmrt app on mobile phone ?

  How about that? There's SGbus app in the market to check bus arrival timings..
  But there's no MRT arrival timings.
  
  I hope to have this app in the market.
  
  Features
  -check out Train arrival timings
  -check out the MRT maps
  -timings between each stations
  -location of the next train(whether is C751B or C651 reaching the station)
  -Opening and closing time of each particular station
  -the specifications of each train, train sets. (C151,C651,C751B,C751A,C830,C151A)
  
  How do you all think? Can leave home later as you know the timings. Can try to walk faster or slower. Don't need to SUDDENLY rush up the station upon seeing the RATIS
  "PASIR RIS | 1 min".
  
  Because i see alot people (including me and everybody) will rush upon seeing the RATIS 1 min or arriving

  As much as this is possible, LTA does not provide this information to software developers. I can give you a reference for frequency, first and last trains, but for next train estimations it is not possible. 

  By the way, for disruptions I created a Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Singapore-Public-Transport-Disruption-Information/168843079797321 which I update frequently should I be aware of any disruptions, bus or train. However, I depend a lot on contributions and status updates by others to maintain it.

  Hello? The app will be for general public? Who in the world would want to know what kind of train will be coming other than train fans?

  Wow, with an app like that, I can time when I drop the package on the train, and disembark before a certain station all to perfection.

  Hello, maybe the only advantage is when a person lost their bags or personal stuffs, they tell the station manager said I lost XXX in a CXXX Set XXX/XXX.

  They can just say they lost their stuff in the train towards XXX around XX mins ago.

  yeah... quite true. if you lost things, they can track back where your items is at on which particular train

  However, most people don't know how to express train numbers. I doubt most of them even notice it.

  I see more potential in a "lite" mobile (WAP) site.

  The train (C651) might be refurb to black.

  i hope after refurbishing... C651 will remain white. Paint the exterior white.. All train black very common.

  How you know? How you know SMRT wants all trains to be Black? Is there an article that says all future refurbished trains will be black ?

  It's already confirmed that C651 will have black exterior after refurbishment.
