Tips on creating your MRT lines: If you want to make lines that pass through industry, mark the industry and try to connect your line to these places. Gd luck.
My dad & I want to challenge your idea:
1-Most workers in the area served by your line already have their own private transport.Adding on,they are, this way(for lorries) maximising the use of their lorries by transporting workers & goods.
2-Some of the workers come from overseas & go back in a short time. They don't apply for citizenship but they just work here (may be illegal but true) & thus don't have EZ-Link cards.
3-It does not sound right to call your line a factory line when it serves 2 INDUSTRIAL ESTATES & no independant large factory.(Sungei Kadut & Jurong)It should be industrail est. line
4-building it overground will need scarce space, building it underground may involve digging/cut-open & need space.
5-the workers(no offence) are often dirty & dusty & sweaty after a day's work,& a lot of money is gonna be spent on cleaning the trains.
6-Chemical plants in Tuas + air con =
7-inconveinence-you have to ask every company if it's ok with them to begin construction & use land under their factory & use their names.
8-all the things you go through with construction
9-foreign workers don't(not all) know English
10-My dad dosen't like it.

Is your dad a worker there?
The previous Boon Lay extension to Joo Koon was a good idea.It did cut the jam in the BL bus interchange during factory hours, and probably rerouted a lot of factory buses that were contributing to the jam previously. So can still plan to go thru the Tuas industrial areas.

I create this thread specifically for everyone to suggest their own lines and station names. It's up to you what line you want to create.
Mrtdude5,
you shouldn name stations after bulidings like schools
Gus.chong,
So this is now you protect your topic against people lockin' it up?

I don't get what you mean. However, it seems like that this thread can be used to replace other threads like discussion of lines in future, or even the thread 'If you had the power to rename stations, what will it be?' This thread was created for many intentions. Probably this thread shouldn't be locked at all.
Perhaps:
HL1 Sinai
HL2 Ghim Moh
HL3 / CC21 Holland Village
HL4 Queensway
HL5 Dampsey
HL6 Cluny Road
HL7 Claymore
HL8 / NS22 Orchard
HL9 Cairnhill Road
HL10 Oxley
HL11 / DT20 River Valley
HL12 / NE5 Clarke Quay
HL13 / DT18 Telok Ayer
HL14 / EW15 Tanjong Pagar
HL15 Everyton
HL16 Kampong Bahru
HL17 / NE1 / CC29 Harbourfront
The line connects the Holland ) areas to the city via Orchard Road.
