I know the announcements are annoying and draggy announcements.
But the bells from SMRT "DING DONG" is very annoying.
The most annoying bell from SMRT is the JEMP distruptions.
The bells from SBST "Deng Deng Deng Deng Deng" is more friendly and more smooth.
I love the SBST bells.
Imagine
"Deng deng deng deng deng, Next Station EW26 Lakeside æ¹–ç•”"
I like SBST annoucements. CHY abit too high pitch. SBST indian CSO is more gental and her new PA testing annoucement not bad, a bit like JM

Yep agree. CHY sometimes mono tone too. For example Tiong Bahru
she pronounced as 'tiong balu'' while JM pronounced "TIOng Bahru"
CHY like monotone for this station
btw, what is CSO ?

I go for SBST, since SMRT had so many problems since it started CCL, which actually losses money. I am losing confidence with SMRT already hoping for a change in Tampines, since it's reported to have 4 MRT stops after DTL opens.

Whoever wins DTL will have great benefit. It has 42km of rail which is 3rd longest rail in Singapore
Most probably SBST will win because --->
SBS Transit is the operator of the North East Line since it opened in 2003. The North East Line is the third Mass Rapid Transit line in Singapore, and also the world's first fully underground and automated rapid transit line. The line is 20 km long with 16 stations.
The operating license was given to SBS Transit in order to foster competition with SMRT Corporation and to create multi-modal public transport companies, each specializing in their own district.
------------------------------
Therefore SBST can foster competition with SMRT. If SMRT wins, they will have the biggest share in the railway transport in singapore.
I hope to see competition between SBST and SMRT, if SBST wins, it will be great.

It's spelt as Gentle.
If SBST wins tender, they might face a problems......
Gali Batu Depot might not have enough space to house the trains... Need Kim Chuan Depot...
So, if Gali Batu Depot can house ALL the DTL trains, I go for SBST.... I cannot, bo bian, SMRT.... It all depends....

Gali Batu Depot is a new depot and it is under construction now. So what makes you so sure that the depot is super small that it might not have enough space to house all the trains?

I prefer SBS Transit because SMRT has so much tracks being owned compared to SBS Transit.

Nobody knows... I mean, if the depot is big enough for 73 3 car trains, I'll vote for SBST....

GOD DAMN IT! Why ppl gt this thinking : 1 depot, 1 operator. OK.
KCD will most probably be divided into 4 parts.
3 parts will belong to SMRT operating CCL and the other part will belong to DTL to park their C951s. AND another TEMPORARY OCC will be built at KCD for the DTL

Confirm they planned hw many train will be in the depot first before building.

SBS Transit
cos got bigger seats
Looks like more and more people voting for SBS Transit !
SMRT. Simply because they been using 3rd rail for power collections for EWL, NSL and CCL. So since DTL is also using 3rd rail for power and 3-car formation similar to CCL, SMRT should be the operator.
