Agree. Even if start loses money, they end up seeing $$$ in their eyes

Honestly, operating a MRT line kinda only have profits to earn rather than making losses.

Loses from the start probably.

try it on a BOT project

tat's why SPH thinks MRT is easily profitable.

cos alrdy used taxpayers $$ to pay for her line and those 22 trains.

Many analyst have pointed out SBS Transit WILL win the tender. This would provide competition to SMRT. More competition will have more fun. Hence that's is also why i also choose SBS Transit.

Don't think too much about Kim Chuan Depot and SMRT linkage. 2 operators can share one depot, just they mark their boundaries properly will do. You don't really need 1 operator to 1 depot. There can be 2 operator in a depot.

SBS Transit wins, it will need to corporate with SMRT on how to share the depot.

An example ...Just like what you see at Dhoby Ghaut, Outram Park, Serangoon... SMRT and SBS Transit intersects at these stations. They corporate together on how to count the fares,,

Therefore SBS Transit would eventually wins the tender. Many favours SBS to win.
But these polls above won't have effect on the final decisions of MOT&LTA.

first thing, LTA owns esp DTL because of e new contract terms. CCL still has some 'leeway'.

Fares is done by PTC, so anything abt future tabulation of fares would be done by PTC

SBST wins, its fine to me. Anyway I hoped SBST get some future lines in 5 to 10 years, but maybe, end up in 3 years.
