The Downtown Line is a 42km long with 34 stations built underground.
The LTA is likely to release the winning operator soon.
Make your guesses
SMRT Or SBS transit ?

Hope for SBS Transit. Their seats are more comfortable =)
for me, the circle should be given to SBST while the DTL should give to SMRT.
My choice would be Downtown Line should be given be SBS Transit.
Because not fair to SBS Transit.
As SBS transit has only 20km of rail
And SMRT has 129.9km (inclusive of stage 4&5 of CCL) of rail
and plus 14km of Tuas West extension
SMRT will have 142.90km of rail
Downtown Line is 42km long, if SBS Transit wins, they'll have 62km of rail
SBS Transit... CCL belongs to SMRT alr.. DOnt think they will be yet ready to handle another line..

Since when SMRT uses Bombardiers ? C151.. uses Kawasaki
Bombardiers is for DTL

Bombardiers are used in BPLRT which belongs to SMRt................
Hopefully SBS Transit takes Downtown Line... then there will be fairer competition amongs the two companies....
If SMRT takes over... I foresee... amendment of services...
171 (shortened to Bukit Panjang), 67 (shortened to Little India),
Services to withdraw
75, 190, 700, 700A, 852, 960, 961
But i mean for Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) not LRT.
let's vote for SBS
What should you prefer?? SBS?
For me, I will prefer SMRT. Because the announcement better than SBS..

+1
SBS Transit because the trains they operate are faster. They don't coast trains unlike SMRT. From Simei to Tanah Merah. WTH man, coast like at 50km/h or 60km/h while going above CGL shuttle track. WTH. So SBST should get the job. =P

perhaps maybe for DTL they will change for the better ?
And also, we gave to much to SMRT CEO and staffs, they earned alot.
Must also share with SBS mah.

"Computer Cab (London) "?! COMPUTER or COMMUTER?

I don't count in terms of the lines.
I count the length and their revenue.
SMRT currently has longer railway than SBS.
SMRT revenue is much higher than SBS.

SBS has more overseas venture than SMRT.
SBS.
In terms of off peak freq especially, SBS has done a better job. In any case NEL is now e most utilised line on per km basis.
If I had a choice, I would say neither. But...
SMRT. They have had much more experience operating rapid transit lines than SBS Transit has.
