JUR gonna to be first MRT stn in S'pore with 4 tracks.
Willis, you left out TNM, CCL PYL & AMK, where the middle track itself becomes 2 platforms.

City Hall and Raffles Place have 4 tracks also.
You meant 4 tracks on the same level.

Why don't you go ask the TO then let us know?

Middle platform (Middle of the station) with 2 tracks is only in proposed EW30, if the plan comes into reality.
Well, AMK, CCL PYL, JUR before JEMP, TNM do have Platform D one. Check it out!

The middle track has two platforms, one to the left, one to the right.
------------------------------tracks----------->
Platform #1
Platform #2

Platform #3
Platform #4

(I know in real life they have designated letters, but this is just an example.
Tanah Merah stn Joo Koon bound track is for Joo koon bound trains to go right?
Tanah Merah layout:
train go depot via here
=====^=======Joo koon bound --> <train's direction
===========<-- Changi bound
To depot
===^=========<Pasir Ris bound <what I think should be
Yesterday I notice a train moving the opposite direction as stated above on Joo Koon bound tracks. Of course the train is not in service and I think its heading to depot. But even through teh train should go depot, why dun it use Pasir Ris bound to access depot?
I wanna ask, wat is the guild rail used for? I dun see any use to it.

If a train were to derail, the bogie will get locked by the guide rail, thus preventing it from toppling to the ground.
Not all places have guide rails installed.

Example: Tracks on ground level / underground tunnels or some slidings (Including one in Ang Mo Kio middle track towards YCK)

They're the ones found in points and tight curves.
But wait. IF trains derail, the train bogie wil stilPl be contact with the gravel below

Slidings? What are they?
Originally posted by xXlccporXx:But wait. IF trains derail, the train bogie wil stilPl be contact with the gravel below
I suppose you mean the wheel. If the train derails, the wheel will be caught between the main rail and the guard rail, thus preventing it from falling to the ground below. Nevermind having contact with the ballast, the important thing is to not let a coach with 300 passengers topple or crash down to the ground.

I dun rule out the possibility of typo, but i mean the "middle track". Example such as Outram Park where LTE trains parked at, Yishun bound train parking location, Stadium - Mountbatten middle track and Farrer Park - Little India middle track. I might have confused some of them as no guide rail due to another approaching crossover.

Yes, according to railway terminology, slidings do not exists, but sidings do.
Anybody knows when we will see a refurbished C651 operating?

201/202 ~ 237/238
311/312 ~ 351/352
Do the calculations yourself, but it's pretty obvious already.
