If singapore train can combine too then peak period no problem le, but sad station not long enough lol.

They scared the train fly off(i think)....actually from city hall until commonwealth also same.
ever wonder if is visible to make stations curve like in London's tube in singapore??

It sure will be a little weird to have a curve station.
Imagine the platform gap if station is curve.
I think it's better to have a empty carriage without seats for the peak hour. This can help to pack more pple in.Every 3 empty carriage then comes a seating carriage for those who really cannot stand in the 30 mins ride.Train marshal at crowded station to shout "move in" can help when pple just station at the door entrance blocking exiting commuters.

Impossible to specialise a train without seats just for the peak hour.

Many London Underground lines originates as privately owned and constructed lines. Regulations at that time made it much less complicated to build the railways directly below streets, which were not always straight.
Anyone know the weight of C151 before and after refurbishment?
I noticed that they added alot of metals after refurbishment.
Got a question, why do trains run faster at night???
Originally posted by Din89:Got a question, why do trains run faster at night???
Well , at night , less passengers and train can go faster and depends on the schedule
Originally posted by Din89:Got a question, why do trains run faster at night???
It's just an illusion. When you walk at night in a quiet place, compared to the day, you seem to walk faster, although you were walking at the same speed.

Have to see timetable. Cannot be too early.
Originally posted by Call4ljw:Impossible to specialise a train without seats just for the peak hour.
In japan it is possible. They have perch seats (or whatever u call them) that are folded down during off-peak hours and folded up during peak hours. They are controlled by the TOs, making the whole train seatless (Meaning no seats)
Since when C830 Set 19 have the new Doors Are Closing announcement and Please Do Not Lean Against The Train Doors. Is it the only one?

Set 29 and Set 26 + a few others (for the leaning).
Just a question, after the last train leaving for Jurong East from Marina Bay, is there a train bound for Ang Mo Kio before the very last train bound for Kranji?

For southbound services, after the last train to Marina Bay leaves, trains after it will go until Toa Payoh. After the last train to Toa Payoh leaves, there will be trains bound for Ang Mo Kio all the way till the last train.
No wonder sometimes trains terminate at AMK lol.

I'm aware of that, actually. What i meant is at Marina Bay itself. See, last Jurong East train departs at 2346, if i remembered correctly. Then, a train appears minutes after and it shows that it terminates at Ang Mo Kio just before the very last train that heads for Kranji arrive at Marina Bay.
How is it like:
Train Arrives at Platform B at 2335-2340H[ (4) Last Train to Jurong East]
5 mins later,
Train arrives at Platform A [Ang Mo Kio - Departing in 6 Mins]
"Train at Platform B departs 2 mins after train at Platform A arrives"
At 2350-2354H "Train at Platform A departs"
About 2-4 Mins after AMK-bound train leaves, The Kranji train arrives at Platform B
[Last Train to Kranji - Departing in 11 Mins]
And finally, 0007H, The Kranji train departs....
so, what i'm asking, why is there a train in between?

Jurong East then straight to Kranji, no Ang Mo Kio.

Train to Ang Mo Kio:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nqIdCIySM3s
Jurong East, then Ang Mo Kio, then Kranji, then maintenance train from BSD, then normal trains to Jurong East, then morning peak to Yishun OR Jurong East, then at 10am, DNB trains + Jurong East, then at 12pm, Ang Mo Kio + Jurong East. 5pm, Yishun + Jurong East, until 8pm.
Maybe I should suggest putting last train at Raffles Place (Last Train to Kranji), at 12 midnight instead of wasting time. I think should add extra train from Marina Bay to Ang Mo Kio also.

Means after 10:53pm, no more NSL to Marina Bay?
And the train in 12:17am, reaches AMK on 12:56am and hence the end of the day?
