At first when they played the music, I tot that the music is played outside the stn, Then to my surprise, it played at the stn.. For expo stn, the sound tends to echo easily
At least they didn't play the song in the trains..

Of course impossible! Train riding often 2mins time... UNLESS they riding 5min (between KTB and YCK, 4min etc.)
The song is only like, not more than 4 minutes.

Must be due to the station design LOL. The design is a curved roofs which most probably reflected the soundwaves back into the station
<If you work for SMRT, do not click>
Be glad they don't have it in trains, on the LRT system, in bus interchanges, in bus stops, aboard buses, (the list goes on...)

Song before 4min they can play AMK-BSH 3min etc.
Well, it's either this NDP song or the "yeah, yeah, yeah" song.
Take your pick.

Actually, they do play in bus interchanges.
at least the song is not that bad than blowing vuvuzelas right?
Heard nothing at Yew Tee and jurong East today.
Raffles Place and Woodlands NDP song playing currently.
SMRT has done annoying things before, but this takes the cake.

In fact, no. Should blow vuvuzelas to drown the song out. The National Day song and the YOG cheer. Both.

Coming to think about it - the song is not that bad...

I rather choose the "yeah yeah yeah" song. It's shorter.

Neither are the C151s, but there's so many of them that they've gotten monotomous. However, if they were my favorite trains, I wouldn't mind there being so many of them so that I'm almost always on a C151.
The NDP song (all of them, really) is FAR from being my favorite song. Now imagine that being played over and over. The CSOs are going to jump in front of a train soon.
Worst ride ever today. Train arrives at Clementi, doors open, and I hear the song. Train arrives at Jurong East, doors open, I hear the song. Train arrives at Chinese Garden, and I can hear the song playing even before the doors open. When the doors do open, it's blaring so loudly that one could go deaf. Train arrives at Lakeside, and I see an eastbound train coming down the track, and the Malay part of the "yellow line" announcement is playing. That announcement gets interrupted by another chime, and then the song starts playing.
so Unlucky... LOL

At least there aren't any loudspeakers playing the song mounted on the taxi.
