i tried asking ppl whethe they know C151, C651, C751B, C751A and C830, some replied that they know what is C151, C651, C751B and C751A (most of them are in their 40s, 50s or even 60s, you know what i mean-the first initial opening of MRT in the 1980s-2003), but others don't know (youngsters of course.)
Originally posted by yellowflip999:C151s are older than C651s, might as well scrap them all both, and buy newer trains, IF they are gonna scrap any unrefurb C651.
noooooooooooooooooo, don't scrap those c651!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It will be a complete waste to scrap the C651s. If they scrap trains, the first to go should be the C151s. I'm sure refurbishment will cost less than ordering new trains to replace all 19 C651s.

Refurbishing C151s - 14X million
Replacing C151s - 74X million.
Compare for me please.

So refurbish the C651s instead of replacing them! I never said ANYTHING like, "THEY SHOULD SCRAP THE C151!!!!!!", it's because there isn't a need to replace any trains. They're all in good condition.

Uh well, I only said to scrap them because someone (on the previous page) said to scrap the C651s, so I went to say something like scrap the C151s first because they're older and stuffs like that.
Okay so back to topic
any idea how the train looks like...?
off topic- its ok to refurbish the c651s but must maintain motor sound
..
if they wanna scrap C651, then they shouldnt be installing staris on it....

LOL? C'mon....... Since when the C151s loose their original motor sound when they are refurbished.......?

Nope. Design is still not comfirmed.... Maybe would look like a C751B.... Maybe not...... And , since when the C151A is longer then other trains? All the trains serving NSL/EWL is like almost the same in terms of length.

C151A is 23.5m each carriage.
Meaning 141m. A normal C151 is 138.5m long. Thats what they said on the Kawasaki site.
i hope the motor sound like MP89 (Paris Metro Line 1 and 14)
I hope it sounds like a C371.
Wonder if it sounds like a musical train...
But seriously though, I have a feeling that it will sound similar to the C371. Or maybe even like the C381s which aren't in service yet (and no one knows what they sound like, because there aren't any test run videos).

Go Kawasaki go ask them, ask them, eh can demonstrate the motor? I Give u $100000000000000000000000000000
Just joking lol. Anyway the testing track is a protected area. Just wait, wait and wait longer... Soon, some random train will pop into the station and it is the C151A
