Really? Broke down?
No wonder I got info from my brother at around 12.30pm just now that the train didn't move an inch and stall at Woodlands MRT station.
By the way, at around 12.45pm, saw the Marina Bay bound trains at Marsiling MRT stn travelling towards Woodlands, waiting time ranges from 6 mins to 8 mins. Probably sharing one platform at Sembawang?
it was a case of ?suicide..
man was extricated from underneath the second carriage of the south-bound train. Victim was declared dead at the scene..

If the man is trapped under the 2nd carriage, for Bedok case, its the 5th carriage!
Yesterday, I boarded a train, when it is approaching the station it seems to be cruising around 20km/h when approaching the station 0.o Or is it just me?
We've got a one under at Sembawang!
Spotted the incident via the RATIS at Raffles Place station. I was guessing the station which had the incident. It ended up to be Sembawang.
Today's Suicide incident on CNA.

Alstom Metropolis and I were onboard 033/034 and luckily , the train used the sidings to crossover to the NB platform. Then the train was going back to Jurong East to pick up other passengers. Video taken.

I can't upload the video due to security reasons.
Originally posted by ngyk:Okie…...........but got northbound trains turn around Yishun right??? How is it like
We didn't go to Yishun , but for SB trains at Woodlands is using the sidings. Yishun has a siding too , suspect they use that to turn about (same as Yishun bound trains in peak hour).
this thing happened today at ard 12pm ?? wow i still thinking today want go out, lucky never.
I was on the affected train, it happened around 11.30am. Train involved is 097/098, with Car 3097 hitting that moron. Train entered station normally, just started to engage in B2, when TO suddenly pushed to EMG brake. Train stopped exactly halfway into the station. SCDF personnels came within 10mins, who are despatched from Yishun Fire Station. Bus bridging service between Woodlands and Yishun is activated within 1/2 hour from the happening of the incident. not sure for trains @ Woodlands side, but train service @ Yishun can be said to be split into 2, resulting in approximately 12min waiting time for each direction before train service resumed. Trains which are turned around @ Yishun to head back to Marina Bay used the tandem crossover before the station to head into Platform B. Passengers are all forced to alight and those continuing their journey to Jurong East have to wait for the next train @ Platform A.
Gosh why must b on a public holiday sigh but I just noticed. The sucide really have a pattern like tat? I mean the stations like
Admiralty MRT (in 2006) > Sembawang MRT (Today) > Yishun MRT (In 2006 and 2008. Now already have PSD).
Scary~
