  There was once I boarded a train from Dhoby Ghaut to Orchard who kept saying "City Hall" even when at orchard. LOL

  so they sounded the chime which came from the train itself right?

  by the way. during CCL3 discovery last year. the train doors just close without warning. no chime or announcement.
