Marina Bay extension is used in CCL, from Promendae - Marina Bay.
For this, it is called as Marina SOUTH extension.
confirmed project?

Confirmed. To be opened in 2014, 1 year earlier than Tuas Extension.

build build build.
are they buying more trains? Dun end up like BLE, can no longer hold longer 2 min freq slot.

Yes, 22 C151A (132 cars in 6 car formation) trains will be added from 2011 onwards, and all ordered rolling stocks are due by 2013. (Or 2012)
Total from 2013 onwards: 106 + 22 = 128 trains (66X C151, 19X C651, 21X C751B and 22X C151A)

ok..
let's say NSL runs at 2 mins. It'll at least need 64 trains. EWL till JKL needs 65 trains. CGA needs 3 trains. So 132 trains.
Defintely more is needed for Tuas & tis short extension.
Unless it's at 2.5 mins which isn't wat LTA is hopping for eventually.

No. CGA only use 2 trains. Unless u mean special events, which may just ply up to 4 trains. (Everyday peak hour really 3 trains meh?)
And I believe that the LTA had never planned for a 2 mins frequency train becoz I think the minimal time gap for safety concern is 2 mins. So it is to me like a 3.5mins gap is more feasible, unless stops in the middle of the station.

Evening 7 - 8 mins.
It's mentioned for eventual 2 mins w/ signal system upgrades. If not why build another platform at Jurong East?
Many a times SMRT train officers are e ones causing trains to stop in middle of train. They heck care of regulating the dwell time.
Ever once a train was in front (he knew it). reach station, immediately buzzer pressed and door close... move on... stopped in middle of track for 30 sec? it could have been avoided.

On all days (Weekday, weekend, PH), there would be 2 trains plying the route from the 1st trip at 5+ in the morning til 7+ in the evening, where a 3rd train would be deployed. This train will run until 10+, before returning to the depot and the original 2 trains will continue running til nearly 12mn.

the pro is here. thanks.
the plan wasnt 2 minutes across the board with the new trains.
after JEMP and the 22 C151As, estimated frequency during peak-of-peak is 2 minutes between MRB (and Marina Pier in future) and YSH, 2.5 (or 3, not that sure for this one) minutes between JUR and SBW and 2.2 minutes along entire EWL.
it is a diagram but I just cant find it now.

Another 3rd train will go for one round on CGL at 8am, returning CHD at 8.30am.

If EWL is to be 2.2 mins based on BLE. 60 trains needed on EWL.
The NSL one is might as well whole line 2 mins if tat being e case.
Tis method obviously dun work w/ 22 more trains yet need to operate to Tuas & Marina South Pier.
It's obvious more trains are needed if they're extending NSL to e Pier & EWL to Tuas.

They might buy more rolling stock if they can't make the frequency.
Don't get too worked up after LTA decided to add the station name in, read below:
- North South Line Extension : Its schematic profile and station names are subject to confirmation.

...... Should be confirmed. Only occasionally, changes are done.

If it's confimed, the picture/image won't write that, lol.

Ya. I'm talking about possibility/probability.
Doubt they can extend NSL further though. It's almost at the sea - it's at the pier after all. Maybe can extend to... Batam? lolz

Cruise Terminal ma.. in any case project is delayed.

all these gotta plan early alrdy.
the current 22 add ons are practically too late when demand grew so much :(
