Also, how does SMRT deploy bus within 12 minutes so fast? They predicted that something will happen?
Look, the trains can end the service at Eunos from Joo Koon, becoz there is a crossover right before Eunos, which means all passengers in Eunos who wants to go to the City or Joo Koon need to board it at the EAST Bound platform, where the train terminates there and return to Joo Koon (Will the RATIS show "Eunos", just like "Aljunied" in LTE service?)
And those trains in Pasir Ris will simply crossover to Tanah Merah middle platform in order to return to Pasir Ris. Now, it is expected that there are at most 2 trains in between Tanah Merah and Eunos, where the Westbound train will stuck there.
anw 053-054 back in service already, like nothing happen like that. spotted it at city hall in the evening towards joo koon.

kinda of sian...first STARIS train and knock pple down. suay.

I beg to differ.
If people want to do it, they'll go to the extreme. Even if it takes of them to climb over the HHPSDs. You never know.
Installing HHPSDs only help to prevent further suicides from happening, but it doesn't 100% guarantee that there won't be suicide cases.
i was thinking will it be the dirty train arriving in 1min. true enough immediately 053/054 omg...
I am wondering if the train driver will be affected by the suicide?

But most of the time, it wont be that easy. Especially for the females (There are female suiciders via tracks as well, both locally and internationally). So, by the time they have climb the HHPSD, the train had already stopped such that they cant jump into the tracks.
If they climb early, like 2 mins before the train arrive, it should have enough time to brake the train instead.

not only 053-054 other also, just that we dunno.

Yes, getting some days off and for counselling. But he / she can be Train driver later. (Not fired or warned or demoted, coz this is a suicide and not a fault in the staff)

Drivers will be sent for counselling, since they've seen the accident with their own eyes.
jumping mrt track is so painful, so why people chose it to die this way?head or limbs can get severed and get dragged, worse is you are still alive, imagine the pain you are going thru.

To simplify this, you dont even need to use the LRT to kill whoever, just go onto the track, then jump down to the pavement/ground, see what happens.
There is a guy run over by a lrt at sengkang and die, how you explain that?
Originally posted by Samuel Lee:LRT very slow de, cant really kill. The reason why they die is obviously scared to death, and probably, like the Yishun suicide incident where one guy crawl to the tracks, leaving his body on the track itself, which is gross and body split into 2. (Instead of the Admiralty guy, who jump over there and become a sitting duck)
There is one incident on the BPLRT where a man fell onto the tracks and was killed by an oncoming train.

There is no "perm" TOs for all trains. Trains change TOs at selected stations usually.

Like 019/020, the TNM incident?

but still, HHPSDs do prevent accidental track intrusion from taking place. And it also provides a time delay where other commuters can resist the person and sound the alarm.
