Maybe the fire engine arrive with SCDF equipment to push the train up to take the corpse out?
Or maybe cock up by SCDF? They dispatch a fire engine instead of an ambulance?
QX179R may answer that question.
I guess fire engine is dispatched as they may have the necessary tools to remove the man trapped under the train. I doubt an ambulance would have those kind of tools.
i really hope that the HHPSDs would set up soon,so that lesser of these cases would happen.
Another case of somebody jumping onto the tracks? My god.

as I've mentioned in the previous page, a SRT together with a PL was dispatched to this incident so that they can free the body which was trapped underneath the train arriage..
ambulance must also be dispatched in the event of the person that jumped but is still alive but if its vice versa, then the EAS crew must pronounce that person is dead & time of death which will then the case will be handed over to the police..
Yeah after the TO applied EB, it "skidded" about 100m
Everyone coming out from the station looks UBER piss off, even one uncle , when i top up my card the uncle behind me say " Eh, Juz now i enter now never refund leh! REFUND Me now leh! "

Eastbound train services Incident at Bedok MRT Station
Eastbound train services between Eunos and Tanah Merah were disrupted for slightly more than a hour this afternoon when a man was hit by a train a Bedok MRT Station.
SMRT said the incident happened at about 1.45pm.
The train operator said to maintain service on the unaffected stretches
of the East-West line during the incident, all eastbound trains were
turned around at Eunos MRT Station.
Some westbound trains were turned around at Tanah Merah MRT Station.
Westbound train services were not affected.
Normal eastbound train services resumed at about 3.00pm.
SMRT also deployed bus bridging services to ferry
passengers between Eunos and Tanah Merah MRT stations during the train
service disruption.
About 6,500 passengers were affected during the incident.
SMRT said passengers were informed of the service disruption and the
free bus services through announcements, notices and the rail travel
information system at affected stations.
Passengers who were unable to complete their journeys due to the
disruption can claim a full fare refund from the Passenger Service
Centre in any of the 69 SMRT stations, within the next three working
days.
SMRT is assisting Police in its investigations.

Hope SMRT can start charging the deceased for suicides that lead to service disruptions.
In Japan, the deceased has to pay for all losses borned by the transport operators if they attempt suicide on their tracks.
Else, commuters will end up paying more due to the irresponsibilities of these people, where bridging buses have to be catered, while causing SMRT to make losses for that period.
Some pictures to share
Next train 2 mins
No train service from TNM - EUN
Bus bridging service
From PYL (CCL area)

Train service disruption again...
You are right.
Don't tell me this is the cause for a 2-minute standing time at most stations on a westbound train at 3:50PM that I exprienced today...

Should be , depends on which station you are on.
The biggest stops were at Commonwealth, Jurong East (there was a large gang of staff gossiping in some sort of Chinese at the platform), Chinese Garden, and Lakeside. Every single time the TO had to make an announcement apologizing for the slight delay.
I traveled from Pasir Ris and was the first west bound train that got stopped and ending up in the center platform.
and best of all.... my destination is BOON LAY... so i traveled from CCL ->NSL->EWL Jurong East then all the way to Boon Lay...

i was at 311/312 and my train was stuck at Bugis. almost everyone got pissed off by the delay. the announcement in train goes like:
*Different bell when you hear the free chinatown bus shuttle*
'This train will be delayed for about 15 minutes due to track fault. We apologize for any inconvenienced caused.'
In Malay, then in Chinese then Tamil.

=D The train. LOLs.
just wondering... how can only trains continue to operate in one direction? In this case, Pasir Ris will run out of west-bound trains after a short while.. What happens to East-bound trains before Eunos?
Also, how does SMRT deploy bus within 12 minutes so fast? They predicted that something will happen?
