I took an mrt on fri to tanjong pagar in the afternoon, it was hot as hell inside the mrt. I can see a mother fanning herself with something. I also follow her by taking out a paper to fan myself midway in the trip, so farking hot inside the cabin, esp the weather these days, as hot as hell. is it the weather too hot outside or MRT aircon not in full blast or too many people inside MRT liao?

i think u took a C651 train ( the train which the interior is the old one/ tinted windows)
these trains the aircon always no good... sometimes blow hot air or low/no aircon at all =.=
does SMRT know about the air con thingy? are they doing anything to it?
air-conditioning in MRT system should have some kind of optimum temp. usually around 24 deg for sufficient comfort and concurrently to conserve energy....
in most systems, the air vents should be operating with two speed axial fans and auto adjusted based on the train load - but of course with more people in the train...less air con and should be adjusted with those line flow to improve circulation in the cabins. Again this is subjected to other factors perhaps like pegging temp. at certain degrees regardless of comfort to conserve energy; or line flow fans not well maintained i.e. somewhere choked...etc. many reasons...
conserving energy is a good thing, but then the cabins are almost full in the afternoon. does it mean passengers need to suffer inside the cabin?
cut cost mah that's how they increase their profit.
this falls under the company's maintenance policy....u should feedback to the MRT..
to put it simply, some may favour warmer..some colder....this could be an issue with the line staffs...however, the company should act according to the no. of feedbacks..if no one does...then usually no action la i presume...
in fact, weather forecast would be ideal as a good indicator to have the optimum temp. set...i.e. this season is usually one of the most humid, thus temp should be set lower by 2 degrees....but which company is so diligent to ensure that?
some more utility rate is on the rise....i doubt they would lower too much.....

wonder those ladies with stockings wrapped tight..and no "ventilation" down there coincided with their menstrual periods....

ya. c151 all refurbished so shouldnt hav aircon problem

Or maybe there's just too many people on the train.
Anyway, aircons do break down once in a while.
Hope they ground the train for inspection after and replace it with another workable aircon train when they realise the aircon is not working.
SMRT has become too complacent in taking passengers for granted.I am not sure if they focus on customer service issues at all.
I took a C751B yesterday and there were a lot of people in it. So hot until I sweating liao.
they are saving costs on aircon,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,yes they are letting u fry in metal containers......ask someone to blow in cold air or water into the metal containers like in Schindlers List Movie.

Now only C651 got white and red exterior, coz C151 refurbished got black and red exterior instead. (SMRT is red)

209/210 has its aircon hot like hell!!!
In carriage 1122 and 3120, the aircon chiller is down.. and the aircon light not even lit up
haiya... just aircon not cold still want to make a fuss.... me if aircon is down.. simple lor.. got down to next station and take another train lor.. if not, den sacrifised it la or go to another cabin which is cooler.. i taking train everyday from lakeside to clementi or sometimes to tampines and i dun make a fuss.. for me taking train to travel faster no taking aircon =)
