to think that i rode this train this morning...no wonder i smelled something fishy...
I dont get it.

Just compare these two trains to the other C151s, especially the wheelchair space and the cabin "walls", you'll get it.
I think not all trains will go modifications...
Hmm, speaking of modification, I spotted a few weeks ago, extra metal "structures" that secure the hand grips on the bars on 075/076. Is SMRT thinking of installing yet more hand grips so that they can pack more people into the trains?

Nope, the is not considered modification. 10 trains had this configuration since their refurb. But exclusive pics though - as the ad has been removed.
I knew 101/102 was in the shed of BSD. Now, which C151 is next, 097/098?
I suspect 029/030 or 105/106 to be undergoing modification
I wonder if the bar trains get modified, they would add a wheelchair logo at the bar area.
The bar trains, their flooring feels rough
Originally posted by smrt3099:The bar trains, their flooring feels rough
Most likely to prevent commuters from falling more often than usual.
From this rate , one train to be modified takes at least 3 months.
A closer view of the buider plates
I think 101/102 went missing for modification from 01/03/10 to 24/04/10...slightly less than 2 months

I'm not talking about the bar trains per se, but click on the pictures, you can notice more "hoops" (in between the existing hand grips) where even more hand grips can be placed! So instead of just 8 hanging on each bar, with the extra hoops there can be 12 hand grips hanging on each bar!
See carefully my second picture can see four of these "empty hoops" ...
Add-on: BTW I haven't spotted such modification on any other trains, including other bar trains ...
Only 075/076 hs the hooks, even right after refurb

But 089/090 MIAed for like 7 months.

Most likely 105/106. Last spotted on 20/04.
029/030 and 097/098 are on EWL currently.

I took this train today to school!! Cheers
I noticed something about our C151's..
After all have gone thru refurbishment, some C151's have one speaker on each side of the accordion joint, while some trains have a speaker on only one side. anyone notice this?

That's because you're comparing at different gangways.
Red Carriage to Blue Carriage only has one, Blue Carriage to Green Carriage only has one, but Green Carriage to Green Carriage has two.
If 105/106 went for modification, it will be Kinki Sharyo plated

Yup, adding to the collection
IMO these builder plates were the same as those found in the unrefurb C151s. I thought they would have thrown all of the bulder plates away, but seeing these 2 trains with builder plates, I feel relieved
Now, 105/106 shall be included in Section 2.
