For me, yes I will film at Overhead Bridge BUT I will wait until the SMRT SAY can take photo and video and no bombing in other country(ies). But I'm sure that they will NEVER announce this notice. If no more bombing next several years. I may be film by a notice given by some train fans, youyuan, willis and this thread may be lock in the future.

Do you know even know what a ban is, dude? Those who are not taking photos and videos are restraining themselevs at their own will, not because some SMRT staff chased them out of a station, confiscated their camera, and said they are not allowed to take. -_-

Well, the fact is if it is restraining themselevs at their own will then it should be people like C751BLovur, Willis_Chong, Jcqh, Ongyouyuan etc to announce themselves and not this TPS Timothy Mok, unless an authorization had made by these people (Apparently not)

Timothy Mok sacrifices all friends (except Willis_Chong, C751BLovur, Jcqh, Ongyouyuan) to know when to lift the ban, but these exceptions take a long time to do and lift the ban, and no bombings other countries. People have just banned from taking photos and videos, due to their security threats coming on.
MRT system in Singapore is for the convenience of all passengers, can take picture or video, but not supposed to be terrorists and bomb the MRT system. -

If you get caught how? I take video of interior of train and one SMRT staff at the gangway saw me. He reported 4 polices and 1 CID. How should you feel?

I mean, I can understand the reason of these dates but what is this:

How you know he is going stop video until June 10, 2010? Why not June 20, 2010 (Or 19), and he then record NEL (NEL 7 years in service), or July 22, 2020 (Random dates.) etc?

youyuan reads the newspapers clearly. Once they lift the ban, discussion of existing photos and videos, will become Train Photos and Videos. June 1 - 20, all of this case, break for audio clips.

According to a forumer who claimed to have relatives work as station manager, told him that such things are not allowed at all with the relevant procedures, IF no permissions was asked before hand. Kind of such things is 100% depends on the staff there, and not blaming the policeman, LTA or the head of SMRT. (So the rule is apart of play by owner's rule, it is more on self-restrain as well)

Note: Corrected. (Maybe some awareness campaign should be made, so that it relieves certain people's worry on such videos / photos are easily available on the net which poses security threat, and at the same time, people will have no excuse / reason to defy the staffs since people at the same time, usually feel shocked and unhappy as well when encounter such issue. So kind of killing 2 birds in a stone.)

While during this tight security, however, when I asked the CSOs, Service Ambassadors and even TOs for permission to take pics and film trains, they did not say "No, you can't!". Instead, some say "Go ahead!" or some even smiled at me.

Nobody said LTA banned the people, and LTA did not ban anyone, it was YOU who started this banning thing and which I, as another train enthu, can just heck care all these thingy and anyhow film as I want, only to NOT SAY that someone instructed me to film and upload it on a specific date.
If my Engrish/Singlish is too horrible, in simple terms: I don't care.
