Signals...
Trains...
Advantages
- Faster
- Lesser breakdowns
- More user-friendly (announcements)
- More capacity
- Better frequency than buses
Disadvantages
- If theres a disruption, the whole line would be affected
- Limited routes
- Nosier at times
- Accidents cause serious injuries or death of many
- Breakdowns cause disruptions
Buses...
Advantages
- Can go wherever the roads take them
- If there's a disruption, the service of the route can carry on as usual
- Accidents may not cause as much injuries and deaths
- Breakdown buses can be replaced very fast
Disadvantages
- Not very fast
- Not very user friendly unless there's PIS, even though there's PIS also not very user friendly because there's no audio (Fare stages may not be understood by passengers)
- Capacity not very high
- Frequency not very good for most services
One more thread at the bus forums

That is the maximum speed. On average is abt 45kph due to the intervals at stations + deceleration, acceleration...
I will use bus if
1) directly reach destination
2) Less than 1 hour travel
If not, I will chose MRT.
I hate MRT because of the overcrowding and I will usually stand even though there's seat available most of the time to prevent people taking pictures of me if I happened to fall asleep. It takes 15-20 minutes from my home to MRT station too. And the stupid policy not to eat sweets.
I lkie train better. Buses take a damn long time to arrive (e.g sv no.17). Trains only need about 4-6 mins to arrive.

But Buses, seriously, the average speed is only about 30kph ~ 40kph.
This thread had gone to the point that it needs to be locked as it causes serious insults over me and the creation of two unnecessary threads. I apologise to all bus and rail fans for causing trouble through the creation of these two threads. jcqh, Bus_Speeder and willis_chong, please lock this thread. Thank you.
You not only created two same threads on two places, and now posted two same post in these threads again. Thank you.

Don't worry. None of the train fans blame you.
I just want to make 1 comment.
Bus fans, Train fans, we are common in 1 aspect - that we are transport fans. Transport fans that are unrecognised in the society; that are mistaken for terrorists, but in actual fact, we are all innocent; just wishing to do what we enjoy and get that perfect picture/video to showcase in our photo/video albums.
This is a healthy debate. Why get so affected by some trolls.... fail....

I'm on neither side. It's just that TS did not do anything to provoke anyone here. It's just a discussion, so what's wrong?
Ok anyway since TS requests the topic to be locked, i will respect his decision.
