You can koon all the way to Joo Koon liao.
Well,
Each time I travel, I always look around if there are any other needy people who deserves the seat more than me. If none, I shall sit down. Haha.
But when I sit down, I also look out for anyone who deserves the seat more than me.. Like pregnant woman, the elderly.. blablabla.. I'd always give up my seat to them..
Once, I had a 'small argument' with an old lady. I just stood up and said, "Auntie, here, you can sit at my place." But she insisted I sat down instead.. Lol.. In the end I managed to convinced her and she sat down finally..

Fair enough.
Nice to know some strong young courteous person.
i seldom take trains, but when i do and see someone in need of the seat more than me, i will give it up without 2nd thoughts.

More nice people.
there's too many old people, too little seats.
SMRT removing seats, singapore going towards ageing population.
have you seen two elderly people rushing for a seat? suddenly they're so energetic and stealthy.

I just got up but a quick check on geography. Is Joo Koon in Tuas?
I think every seat should be given up, not just the Priority/Reserved seat. And, no, the ones who give up their seats are not the kind ones, it's those who chooses not to sit at all.

Yes. Actually between Tuas and Jurong West.
That is precisely the reason that I only stand in mrt ride no matter how tired i am or how long the journey actually takes...
UNless the whole train is like a lot of seats then i would take a seat.

...actually, the kind AND smart ones are the ones who grab a seat asap so that the seat hoggers don't have a chance to and they could give up their seats later to those who need it more.

That makes sense... But for now, wait till manage to get on the train first.
