I have decided to create the thread as I belive there wil be exciting happenings for the entire New Year
For me I hope that C651s can go for Refurbishment somewhere Middle of the Year
Secondly is more Trains can get Full ad Plus tear down more boring looking PCK stickers
5 C651s to be refurbished with cushioned forward and backward facing seats along with overhead baggage racks and LED TVs to serve on the Changi Airport branch only. TVs will play "next station" videos, a tourism video upon departure from Changi Airport, and a thank you video before arrival at Changi Airport.
Hmmm C651s have been plying on CGL for the past few weeks... The only C651 that is MIA is none other than 209/210
LCD Screens installed on remaining Non-STARIS trains to show my WRARIS jk
STARIS installed on C651s and C751Bs
my wish is that the government won't build PSD on LRT stations,
as those 'people' are going to (do whatever that they say on the newspapers)at the LRT stations if all MRT stations are going to be PSD-fitted.
Can you even imagine??putting those stickers on the station platform?having PSD for 2 doors?(with the exception of Ten Mile Juntion,of course.....)

Hope can replace those old STARIS for C751Bs which could not work after changing the announcement from 'Doors closing' to 'Doors are closing' (only the timing and date shown for some of the C751B trains)

Ooo Are you sure they won't work with the new announcements???
I hope they will be recruiting more TOs than CSOs cos i want to be a TO this coming April.(if they recruit me)

This is more like your wish, but why 5 of them? I thought only 2 trains serve as CGL.

Hi what age are you in that you have such idea. This wish for me should be by 2015. (I 18)
Anyway, here is my wish:
1: CCL to be ready (Stage 1 & 2)
2: BVE routes gets better with C651 and C751B released
3: More DNBs for me to explore :P
4: DTL3's (Thomson, Eastern Region and Tuas Extension as well) alignment gets confirmed.
5: Street Directory to show Marina (Bay and South, the lateral is NSL) Extension's stations.
6: Punggol 21 to be developed and hope by 2015 we can see Punggol North Line
7: Jurong West to be developed and hope by 2015 we can see Jurong LRT

Im 20 & will be finishing NS in April soon.they said dat they will be recruiting new staffs for CCL(probably CSOs)this April..i did ask whether they are taking in new TOs but they said that there is no vacancy available..

2 during off-peak, 3 during peak, 4 during overcrowding
Change back to old announcements and turn on the VPIS on C751Bs.

Oh i see, then can someone compare the difference between CSO and TOs??

I see, i thought was straight 12 mins frequency.

Isn't that what the thread title says?
Anyway, I'm looking at a Changi Airport - Marina Bay/South through train. During peak periods in Expo, additional normal EMU shuttles will be added between TNM and XPO. The through train will use the middle platform upon arrival at Tanah Merah towards CGA and platform B towards JKN.

Yes, I do. The way of pharsing was quite misleading. Anyway, I meant why 5 trains chosen and not 2. That was explained that actually is up to maximum of 4 trains serve CGL when overcrowding. Typically peak hours is 3 trains. (Off peak is 2, which I knew that before hand)
Just a question: The 3rd or even the fourth train will only start @ Tanah Merah? No chance of train being deployed in Joo Koon straight to CGA? What happens after peak hours? The train goes JKN straight or get everyone out and go Bedok or Simei to take paxes or go depot and sleep??
Regarding Nickl_C151's wish, I rather hope they will resume a through train, but at a 30 to 45 minutes frequency. (Tanah Merah shuttle remains) It will be better if there is a evening peak hours crossover trains (7 trains from Pasir Ris will go to Marina Bay via Jurong East then Woodlands)

No chance. The extra train will trail the normal schedule train 3-4 minutes behind, terminate at Tanah Merah and head back to Changi depot.

You have to understand the rationale of starting the train from Marina Bay. That area is where the IRs are located, most would board at City Hall or Bugis, and some backpackers may stay in the areas between Kallang and Paya Lebar. There are no major hotels west of Raffles Place, hence it will be redundant to have the airport shuttle travel that 20km extra.
At off-peak frequency, the airport shuttle may trail a normal train 3 minutes behind. At peak frequency, they may follow a schedule of 4+1, i.e. 4 normal trains before the airport shuttle. Between 12 to 2 on weekdays, they may slot in the train such that the schedule will show a normal train, lunchtime express, normal train, airport shuttle.
Before you start bombing stuff like "there are many housing estates all around", airport trains are only meant for the conveneince of tourists. For locals, the only convenience they should get is ease of transfer (a la Raffles Place, City Hall, Bugis, Paya Lebar, Tanah Merah). Note that I did not introduce any City Air Terminals as this airport shuttle I suggested will also stop at all stations.

I see, this really makes sense. Regarding the lateral evening cross over service mentioned previously has nothing to do with Airport trains. (I should have put it as next paragraph)
So far they dun really put 4 Trains to run CGL. Maximum 3 Train on CGL during night time...
Hopefully there will be open house for other parts of Circle Line too.

209/210 have modified grabpoles and reduced seats.
