Woodleigh Stn and those LRT station at Sengkang & Punggol cited.
I dunno wat's he referring to. It seems he has forgotten those stations are built for the future (The cemetary is alrdy cleared awaiting for property devt).
I think he prefers to spend more money and time to build a MRT station in e middle of a operational line like Dover back in the 1990s.
Seems our scholars dunno how to plan for our future liao
I read part of the article said that woodleigh stn may open aft Aug 2011.
How bout the other loop of Punggol LRT?

It's more likely to seem that the higher end up there are no more the forward looking people anymore. They want to behave like Malaysia BOLEH spirit, only patch e gap as and when things become overloaded.
I tell you, even wat LTA says abt promoting public tpt is crap cos they're applying hands off approach in reality. NATO
Like getting PTOs to buy bigger buses to resolve crowded buses as they want to, they would tell you no cos it's a commercial decision bla bla bla.. There's a balance that needs to be met, but I suspect many LTA officals dun take public tpt
they want to avoid the "problem" of people petitioning to open those mothballed stations. Which unfortunately will definitely happen and the people who will stand to benefit will mostly not quite be able to accept the reasons for rejecting.
But then again, thats when political will and guts comes into play. Somehow that seems lacking.

sometimes everyone has to be rational, some things can be placed for the future when it's needed
