In between 12pm and 2pm on weekdays, alternative trains terminates at Aljunied or Outram Park as that period of time is the lunchtime express for the east west line
For north south line, alternative train terminates at Ang Mo Kio
Also after peaks hour, they start keeping trains that they put in service just before the peak hour.

No wonder sometimes the train is empty at JUR , so that is the train serving peak hours.
you can see the alternate trains terminals at Kranji MRT.
WDL, AMK, YSN, TPY, etc.
Sometimes YWT too.

For weekday evening only. Alternate one: Marina Bay -> Yew Tee -> Marina Bay
An I right to say: The demand of people taking from Sembawang to Kranji was not high?
So, there is shuttle from Marina Bay to Yishun and JE to Yew Tee during the peak?

At night, the NSL train services keeps the average time of 4 to 6 minutes. In 1 out of 3 trains you are waiting, you can catch one train which terminates at Ang Mo Kio.

Wait till you see the crowded NB platform at Yishun everytime a fully loaded JE-bound train pulls into the station...

Yew Tee (Southbound) also I think, almost the same crowdness as Yishun. As the shuttle train has to terminate at Yew Tee, passengers who continue journey to Kranji and so on... have to wait for another train.
Yes, the crowded NB platform at Yishun are supposed to wait for the next train since shuttle train terminates at Yishun.
To conclude, most of passengers who take the shuttle train earlier on are managed to squeeze in the next train since some of commuters are also alighted at Yew Tee or Yishun.
Train Services

- 7 AM to 8.30 AM: Marina Bay to Yishun (random trains)
- 12 PM to 2 PM: Marina Bay to Ang Mo Kio (alternate trains)
- 12 PM to 2 PM: Aljunied to Outram Park (alternate trains)
- 5.40 PM to 6.45 PM: Jurong East to Yew Tee (8 trains)
- 4.45 PM to 7 PM: Marina Bay to Yishun (alternate trains)
- 11.28 PM to 12.12 AM: Jurong East to Toa Payoh (1 train)
- 12.17 AM to 12.55 AM: Jurong East to Ang Mo Kio (1 train)
7+pm to 10pm: Jurong East to Ang Mo Kio (1 train for every 3 trains) which means in every 3 trains, 1 would be terminated at AMK and off service, whereas other 2 would be towards Marina Bay.
Last train leaving Jurong East to Marina Bay is around 10.50pm.
then what about the service below?once witnessed it, came in mid platform and say terminate at bedok, confusing.
Changi Airport-->Expo-->Tanah Merah--->Bedok.
that time was a few years back,i went there to go changi to say goodbye to my travelling grandpa.
Is there any services from CGA to JKN via TNM?
