Been a fan of trains since I was a kid. Fascinated with the SMRT trains and went into the KTM arena for the past 2-3 years. Appeared in the straits times for 2-3 times for the hobby of rail-fanning.

Brief Introduction: E5 is the latest 10-car bullet train on the T�hoku Shinkansen, built by Hitachi Ltd and Kawasaki Heavy Industries for JR East. In service, it can reach up to 320km/h. The first set of this train has been delivered and is currently undergoing extensive testing on the T�hoku Shinkansen. It's expected to commence revenue service in Spring 2011.

Hi all fans, some of u all may not/rarely see me around cos I've no time to come online. Sec 4/ JC life is tough and stressful.
Nevertheless, I still continues to pursue my interest whenever I'm free. Joined buses forum in 2005, train forum a year later.

Interest in trains: Fully Japanese train 'nut'. Started off in early 2000s when I first visited Japan and learnt that not only the Shinkansen is the best that can be offered! Ask me anything about Japanese trains and I can possibly answer 95 percent! Main research into electrical/mechanical components, then rail operational timetabling, signalling and safety devices, then passenger lines and related operations.
Presently going into individual rolling stock histories of older JNR diesel cars and locomotives. Covering JR Bus operations as well. Welcome you guys to ask more too!
