[MTR] Austin Station opened yesterday

  Austin Station (柯士甸) on the West Rail Line (西�綫) opened yesterday, and served as a link for West Rail Line trains from Nam Cheong (�昌) to East Tsim Sha Tsui (尖�).

  Both West Rail Line and East Rail Line (��綫) are modified. Hung Hom (紅磡) now serves as terminus of both lines, instead of East Tsim Sha Tsui for East Rail Line and Nam Cheong for West Rail Line.

  This link shortened rides from the West Rail Line to the East Rail Line and vice versa greatly.

  According to my Hong Kong friend who lives in Tai Po (大埔), travelling to Tuen Mun (屯門)

  Previously:

  Tai Po Market (大埔墟) on East Rail Line -> Kowloon Tong (��塘) Kwun Tong Line (觀塘綫) -> Prince Edward (太�) Tsuen Wan Line (��綫) -> Mei Foo (美孚) West Rail Line -> Tuen Mun

  Takes 70 minutes (1 hour 10 minutes)

  Now:

  Tai Po Market on East Rail Line -> Hung Hom West Rail Line -> Tuen Mun

  Takes only 50 minutes
