LOST: Apple Laptop at Simei MRT

Hello I don't know if this is the right section to post this but I can't find an appropriate section any where else.
Anyway, I've lost my macbook at Simei MRT station's toilet on Saturday 8/8/09 between the time of 10pm to 10.45pm.
The laptop is a white 13" macbook with a red protective cover. It is in a plain black laptop sleeve (no handle).
I am a student and have many important assignments and documents in there. So it is very important that the laptop is returned to me asap.
If found, please contact 91835808.
If you are trying to purchase a second hand mac that matches mine. please help me by checking the serial number.
Alternative ways to return the laptop to me is by reporting to the police, MRT control station staff of any MRT station or handing it over to any authorised apple service provider saying that the laptop is found.
Thank you in advance. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I know. I was very tired and it is my fault for being so stupid and careless. haha. i only left for like 10-15 mins and when i came back it was gone already.

lol i was just changing my shoes actually. it was hurting my feet.

jayh272416: I already asked them but they said that nobody returned it. The cleaners in charge of the toilet also didn't see anything. They already helped me to inform all the MRT stations in case the person decides to return it. They also told me that i cannot post posters around that area and there's also no security cameras outside the toilet or nearby. :(

is there something wrong with your date? saturday is 8 August? so should be 8.8.2009.
why leave such an expensive item unattended?

i think the chance of u getting a lost laptop back is 0.00000%
im very very very sure the 1 that found yr laptop wont return to u
same goes for me if i find 1 laptop.
even with password protected all i need to do is go to Sim Lin Sq to have it reboot will do.
time to just go purchase a new 1.............

the password is stored in the cmos chip. if not mistaken there is a way to set it back to default thus wiping the password protection. very easy, can be done.
i agree with Hwaimeng, the person who found it unless she is very kind, might not return the lappy.

next time, back up the important assignments and documents first

Prepare for the worst; there's a very low chance of getting the laptop back.
Next time remember to back up your important data regularly. Invest in a good, high-capacity external HDD.... some external HDDs can do automatic backups for you. Even if your last backup was two days ago, then at least you will only be set back by two days.
