saw 2 ppl kena fine by SMRT staff at Bishan Station just now
I can sercetly drink water when there are no staff patrolling in the train.
Set fire in the MRT, ask everyone evacuate. Stop the TO from putting out the fire. "No water right? Ok, burn the train!" No water how extinguish. Hope train burns.

Lols, even if there's that, passengers would be running away, and only the TO is usually left o.o.
Anyway, i found a method to drink water in MRT Station. Try it on the North East Line.

I guess,
they are lenient enough not to issue a $500 fine.

I think we can understand why and how they put up this fine.
For example a MRT train is filled with passengers and someone spill a watermelon juice. Would the cleaner go in and clean the mess or just drop the passengers and return to deport? Of course no. Anyway this has happened before and I was irritated with the mess.

Fined $30 for eating sweet

THE crime? Eating a sweet on board an MRT train.
The punishment? A $30 fine.
The offender 48-year-old housewife, Mdm Bibi Zaina Binti Mohamed attempts to justify her actions.
She said, 'I know it is not OK but I take it sometimes because I am giddy.'
Enforcement officer Roger Foo did not buy her explanation. 'If everyone
were to say they have to take sweets because they are thirsty or giddy,
where are we going to draw a line?' he rebukes.
SMRT on Thursday started cracking down on commuters eating or drinking on trains.
500 enforcement officers have started patrolling trains for errant
commuters and if you are caught consuming, first time offenders could
be fined $30.
Such action comes a year after trying a different approach.
Before this crackdown, SMRT used to counsel chomping commuters instead.
However, when the number offences rose from 276 cases in 2006 to 595 in 2008, SMRT moved to change tactics.
Whether the enforcement works remains to be seen, but you can find
out what happens to people caught for eating or drinking on board a MRT
train or at a MRT station on RazorTV.

the razor tv programme is REALLY lame
am I the only one who finds it painful to watch?
Actually, I feel like got a urge to drink plain water on the train even more and since nowadays some people eat sweets to kill boredom, I am not amazed that sooner or later, some people will get fed-up over it. I was wondering if I really got caught drinking plain water, wonder what are they going to do and say about it.
Already start to fine people? They need money that badly arh?

Watermelon juice? Sure thing, whack that bugger.
Same goes for burgers, donuts, and ice cream. Numbskulls who eat on the train all deserve to be whacked hard in the wallet.
But plain water too? What's the friggin' logic behind that?
