Circle Line train disruption - 28/05/09

At abt 1430 - 1500... Ended up e empty train very packed w/ NYJC, SGSS students.
Normal train service resumed at abt 1500, thereafter train relatively empty again

I was there at about 2.15pm the train had stopped moving already at Serangoon heading 2wards Bartley (Train set no. is 271/272/273)

the disruption is only 3 mins according to media report. after that the trains were towed back to depot.

13 mins.. but fully resume only at 1500 -
I was at seragoon MRT station (CCL) at 1450 hours then spotted one of the train stopped at the Bartley platform due to traction problem.. and 15 mins later, another train arrived at the Marymount platform to allow passengers to board. and the train at Bartley platform departs off service to depot.. The train at Marymount platform departs with passengers onboard and resuming operations at 1510 hours.

haha link from NSL to NEL only what not that many ppl would cross yet mah as its only 3 stns and 2 interchanges.... besides somehow i feel that CCL opened with much less hype compared to NEL back then

I was there and was rather surprised to see that there is such a huge crowd at around 3pm today. I tot wah circle line first only so many ppl got wat special occasion and it turn out to be just an disruption that caused the problem.

but tis CCL3 is very likely to stay..NEL tat one is cos of bus rationalisation and e fact Sengkang & Punggol are developing fast - even till today

I was there too!!Same time,but didn't board the train that goes to Marymount.BTW,the train going 2wards depot is (271/272/273)and i was near the 1st door going 2wards Marymount,where lots of students sitting on the floor that area!
