Pre-refurbishment of Siemens C651

  What do you feel of these trains?
  Enjoy your rides on these trains now though, they are due for refurbishment mext year.

  I like the engine sound :D

   

  Aww, I'm gonna miss the C651 livery soon.. It gives me a nostalgic feeling of the C151... I missed the C151 train before undergoing refurbishment..

  Last saturday on NSL only 2 pathetic C651s throughout the whole line, and they came one after another. (219/220, 229/230)

  mine is can see part of the stn as the rest is blocked by the shopping centre..

  i'm residing at the 10th floor so its just the nice level for spottings..

  I used to live in Dover, where I can see trains pass by really closely (if I still live there now, I probably will be blocked by Dover stn). Then move to Clementi, can see trains stopping by Clementi MRT (not really clear). Then move to West Coast, cannot see anymore (10 min away from MRT)... Then move to Yishun, cannot see (15 min away from MRT), but if live on higher lvls can see.

  try taking the C651s at about 2200hrs & after at Pasir Ris..

  you can hear the sounds very clearly..

  i've tried before.. very relaxing sound.. i like it.. what if C651 last used to main operator instead using C151..? cool!

   

  will be C651 trains will be referbish same as C151?

  interior I can't say & gotta wait for it to be refurb then we know..

  but one thing is for sure, the external will be the same as the C151s & C751Bs..

  the STARIS thingy is a progressive thingy..

  in time to come more or less all the trains will have them but needs a long time dat is..

  and they'll also likely to replace the blue-green tinted windows unique to the Siemens trainset to the tinted windows used by the refurb C151s.

  Next time it'll be a bit hard to differentiate the C151 vs C651 trainsets from each other from a distance. must see the run number display (roller vs flip dot).

  there's another way to differentiate them besides wat u mentioned..

  unless of coz they decided to change "this thing" to be the same as the C151s dat is..
