I think the 2 trains will not meet each other above ground that easily. The only time I saw the other train on the CGL was going into the tunnel.
Just 5 random ones

Starting on May's thread soon.
im planning to peek trains and bishan depot on this fri
today->morning 119/120 spotted in EB, but 3pm++ spotted at marina bay...
its very hard to spot diff trains, i have been looking all the similair numbers.... cuz 001/002 and 005/006 went MIA, so i can just say that they rae non-operational... fleet reduced to 104 trains
Hey dont mind me asking...but how do you actually spot the numbers on the train? I know it's near the bottom, somewhere close to the door...but how do you derive the numbers? First and last?

The first number is always an odd number.
Take the 1st number as n. The 2nd number will be n+1.
E.G. You see the number 001, and the next number will be 001+1=002. So the number is 001/002.
Note: The 1st number doesn't count (X001).

Exterior
Interior
Last 3 numbers, each train has 2 i.d. numbers, the odd number is always lower. In the pic for e.g., the last 3 digits are 002. Since it is an even number, subtract 1, which is 001, so the train i.d. no. is 001/002.
1st digit depends on carriage type. 1st digit sequence will be 3-1-2-2-1-3
There are 3 models of trains:
x0xx and x1xx series are C151
x2xx series is C651
x3xx series is C751B

So coincidental. I used 001/002 photo!

Imagine you're in C751B cars..
you will notice 1st & last cabin will start 3XXX, follow by 1XXX and 2XXX
for example 3313, 1313, 2313, 2314, 1314, 3314
bold = The first digit depends upon whether the car is the first, second or third car from either end of the train, where the first car equals 3, the second equals 1 and the third equals 2. Do not count this digit..
normal = is the train identification number..
eg:
x0xx & x1xx is C151
x2xx is C651
x3xx is C751B
so 3314 is C751B cars
bold and underline = is the trainsets identification number.. in this case, 3314 is the first cabin xx14 is even number, if you see even number, -1
eg: xx14 - 1 = xx13
if you see odd number like 1313, +1
eg: xx13 + 1 = xx14
if you understand this part, continue reading down..
_____________________________________________________________
so..
3313, 1313, 2313, 2314, 1314, 3314
dun forget to add the train identification number..
3313, 1313, 2313, 2314, 1314, 3314
equals..
313, 313, 313, 314, 314, 314
if that case, this train set is
313/314
more info,
for North east line is lil bit different..
71011, 72011, 73011, 73012, 72012, 71012.
the first digit is always 7, do not count..
bold and underline (second digit)
depends upon whether the car is the first, second or third car from either end of the train, where the first car equals 3, the second equals 1 and the third equals 2. Do not count this digit..
bold
third digit is always 0 as it is train identification number
eg: 7x0xx
0xx is C751A (perm)
and the last 2 is trainset identification numbers
for eg:
72012
first cabin 7xx12 is even number, if you see even number, -1
eg: 7xx12 - 1 = 7xx11
if you see odd number like 72011 +1
eg: 7xx11 + 1 = 7xx12
if you understand this part, continue reading..

Carefully not carfully.
And C751B trains start form X311/X312 not X301/X302 as X301/X302 is now defunct money train.
