Clementi Train Overshoot

At around 2.05pm today (10 Apr), trainset 201/202 overshot its tracks at EW23 Clementi MRT towards Pasir Ris.
Just before it stopped, a few loud hisses were heard as the air were released from the brakes in a few attempts to stop but the train still overshot. The doors did not open , preventing passengers from departing or alighting at the station, and the train remained for a while before proceeding to EW22 Dover.
Passengers who were heading to Clementi enjoyed an extra workout on Good Friday as they had to walk down and up the staircase/elevator to the other platform, given that Dover station has side platforms.
It was not ascertained as to whether the Siemens train had been set to CM mode prior to the incident

Hmmm... Its always the same train number. Surely if it is CM mode, then the driver must be new...

What the... Clementi MRT again!!? OMG, i can say this is the mrt station in singapore that has the most incidents!!!

once i was at TPY. The train came and i think stopped before the intended stop location. In the end it waited for a while and then moved to the doors to let passenger exchange take place.

i remember like it was just yesterday...
On 18 Dec 2008 at 7.30pm, i decided to take the train home from Dhoby Ghaut.
I went to take the Yishun Bound train. When it reaches Somerset, it was 3 doors ahead. I was in the last cabin. It took the driver 5 minutes before reversing the trains and opening the doors. After the passengers have boarded and alighted, it closes its doors and did not move for a while. It took him another 3 minutes to leave the station to get to Orchard. At orchard, lagi worse! 5 doors ahead. Another 8 mins wasted and the best, No announcements. After leaving Novena, it was back to normal. I alighted at Braddell and did not know what happened. I saw alot of 1 min trains behind. That is why i started to hate taking the trains more

Sentosa Express if overshot Beach station will also end up in Underwater world (not the one at Siloso).

Was it raining at that time..
If it is, driving in CM mode takes extra precaution when driving... The drivers have to brake even faster, before entering the station.. In the case of train overshooting, if it overshoots a signal or anything, the train will then have to proceed to the next station.. It depends on situations.. Signals are set by the controller at City Hall..
That's what I have learnt from many staffs.. But i'm not too sure of the explaination they gave..

i also remembered..
i was young.. i took C651 train and it was very rainy day dat time from lakeside
the train overshooted almost half of the station at Chinese Garden as im standing at the one of the door of 3rd car and i look at outside, it stop at the at the station where the first cabin stops ..
den it continue the journey to jurong east..
den if i not wrong, the TM said "Pessagers going to Chinese Garden please alight at Jurong East"..
