depends.
single/attached/married no children - public
married w/ children/job requires mobility - car
neither. bus for me
public transport... take cab better
Public transport is great for the environment but pales in comparison to the mobility and convenience that private transport brings . So yea I guess its going to be car for me.

buy Off-peak cars for weeknights and weekends use.
buy car but take public to work... esp if workplace far far away.. save petrol money. car only use during weekends or with family esp with kids around.
I love both public transport and car.. so have to have both of them..
ya lor..
bus is so much better than train. long but relacing rides.
Both have their pros and cons, duh
Pros(CAR):
1)You can ferry goods on your car!
2) the car is yours, can do whatever you want
3)Can avoid squeezings on MRT
Pros(MRT):
1)CHEAP AND RELIABLE
2)Can refund money if got accident, makes you save the money on that ride. Even got jammed, can take bus oso, sure got free bridging de.
3)Peak hour MRT come within 2-3 mins
Cons(CAR):
1)Must bid for COE
2)Scarly the car breakdown, must waste time to call up the truck, then the truck jammed by the traffic, makes you waste even more time
3)Petrol sure go up(price) again
4)Meets traffic jams in the peak hour
Cons(MRT):
1)Very squeezy during peak hour
2)Less seat. If you are some how disabled, some ppl dun even bother u
3)Too slow, maybe not like LRT, can drive fast fast
4)a lot of rules
So I would like to conclude that both are good, but I would recommend MRT more.
i will prefer a Pick Up over a car anytime
Lolx i rather use Van than Car
Car (speed ltr langla)
Van at least gt the manual thing)
Car/Taxi, no Trains/Buses please.
-.- i rather at a train.and ask someone else to be my driver.
now the mrt network not comprehensive enough, a car can get u to much more places. but next time when there are more lines, connectivity would be increased greatly and things would be different.
If got car, why still use train?
If SMRT and SBSTransit reaches Hong Kong MTR standards, I'll use the trains if I can afford a car.
i dun like the train seat, bus is more comfy
I will sell away the car and take public transport.
car must take the trouble to find a place to park
yes
avoid crowded ppls --- take car
avoid traffic jams ---- take train
trains are less of a hassle... no maintenance required.
cars are more convenient, but a lot of maintenance required.
