Actually, long time ago, theres a train that is like that, I took before and somemore its the whole of 6 cars. All of the passengers were standing and I think it can take up to a few thousands of passengers. There were even back cushion as well. If i'm not wrong, the car nos. are,
3222 - 1222 - 2222 - 2223 - 1223 - 3223. These cars were back to normal, with seats.
when i feel that seat removal is the wise way to overcome inconsiderate problem

Managed to take 1 of the train few weeks back. During off peak towards Pasir Ris at Boon Lay, there are quite a few standees at that area already.(Some people prefer to hold the hanging grab thing still)
at least must have safety features
how i wish bar trains can be converted into cusion trains :D

EWL: 55/56
I find that 073/074 looks the cleanest now, followed by 075/076, then 071/072.
i started to see dirts on 75/76
ytd on NSL: 109/110, 39/40
Today while onboard 073/074 twrds PSR, there was a couple that boarded the train at Simei, then the women said to the man that the removal of seats were not good, and "suppose to have more ppl standing but it looks like less ppl are standing than the original seating" - smth like that.
This isn't the 1st time I'm hearing complaints abt the replacement of bars instead of seats. Last sat, I was onboard 071/072 twrds JUR and a grp of young adults entered the train at Tampines, and were complaining about the replacement of the bars.
Although the extra standing space is not so good during non-peak, but I find that during peak hr it is especially useful.

I agree. During non-peak, bar trains are kinda useless. During peak, more people can pack into the train coz there're no seats obstructing the way. So I think bar trains should serve as peak hour trains.
