pictures mostly for project work use as a background for ppt slides, etc.
sometimes slow shutter mode used if i wanna take a pic of trains moving on above-land tracks.
videos and sound recordings, rarely.
I take videos if I have the mood or if I saw something very interesting. I take pics if I am very free. For recordings, I always take recordings of announcements or something like a broken motor.
For audio recordings, here is one example: http://www.mediafire.com/file/gjemm2nxvzm/Noannoncement.wav
I dont usually take pictures. If i do i use my phone to take. my phone video capture resolution is too lousy so i dont take videos.

hey, just being inquisitive.
what does a broken motor sound like?
do you happen to have a recording of one to share?
I'll only snap pics of trains when there's permission granted (e.g open hse)
as for videos, i don't record & currently looking for the various announcements in mp3 format..
as i liked the previous old announcement bell chime, i did used my phone to record it down, but bad quality.
dont really know why they want to change the bell sound, the previous one sounds really nice. was hoping it could be used by SMRT on the circle line.but previously when the C151 before refurbishment usually the announcement and the chime is too soft to hear especially when underground.
by the way, i also liked the bell chime which was used even earlier, before the previous one. wondering if anyone still has a recording of that(handphones able to record sound were probably not even available at that time).

The even earlier one (used before C751Bs came into svc) sounded normal I think, but the announcements not clear.
C751Bs were the 1st trains which had the new announcements (the one before the current one), then all the other trains followed.

I'll go early in the morning like BLE. :D
some HDB housing areas which are close to the tracks can make a good pic of the train..

Nah, nowdays I am not very free so now no more take videos, pictures or even audio recording. Broken motor is rare but smelly motor is not rare.
