Duno leh. I just saw some STARIS in the train, but i din see how many carriages coz too crowded. -_-
latest: 007/008 has all its VFDs and route maps fully installed.. not in svc
Tmr during my camping, i will look out for these trains and provide some pictorial evidence.
Also hoping to see 001/002 and 005/006
Oh yeah, today i took 089/090. It was the best STARIS train i have taken so far, as the "This Side" bulbs were flashing tgt, at the same timing. Others i had taken (e.g. 077/078, 053/054) before, the bulbs weren't flashing at the same time.
Hi I'm quite new to this place. What do you guys mean when you camp? How do you go about doing it? What about the fare penalty? How long do you camp? Adult or student fare? Sorry for being off topic.

To camp is to wait for trains.
Yup, i do take note of the timing i have been camping, and usually travel 5 stns, to have a 1 hr time limit. I have noticed that there are allowances of approx. 5-10 mins given before being penalised.
Time limit are as follows
Enter and exit from the same station: 20mins
Exit 1 - 4 stations away :40mins
Exit 5 - 9 stations away :60mins
Exit 10 - 15 stations away :75mins
Exit 16 - 24 stations away :100mins
Exit over 24 stations away :120mins
i hope someday that when the circle line is 1 full circle, they'll install that staris system showing the circle line as the centre with the major lines...it'll look cool...or maybe an LCD system like yamanote line
i noticed the staris system is a little different from hk in terms of interchange information; when the mtr reaches an interchange, all stops on the other line will flicker to show where u can stop but for singapore, on a north-bound train on NS line, when stopping at raffles place, it doesnt make all the stops on the EW line east of raffles place flicker on the system to show where the passenger may drop at when he changes to the other line i.e. the east-bound EW train
WARNING: 023/024 is now with staris map and VFD but not in svc
no response??

I hope so too. And i love hk's very own 'staris' system compared to sg's as hk's 'staris' displays almost the whole train system map while singapore's NSEW train only displays its the NSL and EWL lines but not the NEL and the CCL.

Yamanote Line? Unlikely. LCD screens were taken out of CCL Metropolis.

Yup, the actual event was a lot longer than the video itself, but i cut out the front part.
Today when i was on CTE, I passed by Bishan Depot and saw 005/006 (recognised by its small and closely packed numbers) but it was impossible to see the interior, so i don't know whether it has STARIS, but those living in the north, keep watch for this train, as it is on NSL.
Took 089/090 today. STARIS system working fine except the "This Side" lights not blinking tgt, and when the doors closing announcement was made, the LED lights above the doors flashed at the wrong side.
