i only boarded 77/78 ytd.. wheras for 79/80, i dun see it operating ytd....
77/78 and 79/80 , the couple train...
another couple train i can say is 113/114 and 115/116...
77/78 and 79/80 are also kawasaki-nippon sharyo

as i usually take NEL i havent been lucky enough to catch 53/54 during the times i take NSL from AMK or Bishan, or from Dhoby Ghaut to City Hall. i think the current refurbished trains are nice enough without the need for STARIS to be installed in all trains. is it confirmed they are going to do that?

Hope the current-going refurbished trains hav the Staris installed while refurbishing.

053/054 spotted at 7.03 PM DNB train @ Yishun after doing Peak Hour;
077/078 came after 053/054 Northbound train @ Yishun 7.05 PM.

yes all SMRT trainsets will eventually be fitted with STARIS whether we like it or not. personally I thought it was rather rough at the edges (like the VFD mounts and its fonts).

I spent some time camping today but I don't think any of these 3 trains were on the ewl today.

I wont mind as long as they dont pass the cost of all these installation to the commuters(which they say they wont). and for me STARIS is totally useless, i think its much more useful for tourists -

I think the 2 trains are on the NSL.

Updates: 089/090 install STARIS system as i board it @ expo stn. Only 090 install the route map except for VFD.

053/054 was on EWL today
077/078 on NSL, all sets of VFDs installed alr. I think it wasn't working yet
Not sure abt the other 2
059/060 confirmed not to have STARIS installed yet -

077/078 came after 079/080 today. I saw some green light coming from 077/078 inside just now, but not sure if its really working yet coz I saw it when its passing by.
