Another STARIS Train?

Halfway twrds Simei, the TO resetted the STARIS, and manually announced the stn. After leaving Simei for TNM, the STARIS was turned on and everything was back to normal.

Spot on!
Different installation process this time. Whole train had VFDs but no route maps in any carriage. Spotted during morning peak on NSL.
Apparantly, in the 08x series, 085/086 is the only one left without STARIS.

I don't really know what had happened to that, maybe tintinspartan broke the camera???

Just to take note and watch out:
027/028 has been perm on EWL (and completely ad-less) so if is crosses over to NSL it might be next to get STARIS installation, of course after 081/082, so do keep a lookout for this train...

Damn!!!! I caught 081/082 on Thursday and a few days later it got STARIS!!!!BTW, caught 027/028 quite a lot of times this year. It used to be on NSL often at the start of the year. (I remember its Mango Window Advertisement.)

There's a whole industry dedicated to just that. Traffic lights, display systems, LEDs, you name it.

okok looks like this thread is getting a overwhelming response even attacted some bus fans.. and the vid was super out away from this thread... we just wanted to look from ANOTHER STARIS train... and even problems abt this systems also arise in this thread

I heard from my friend that 001/002 STARIS worked last week, but displayed wrong info. After about 5 mins the STARIS went dead again. Can cfm though.

Took 001/002 today on my way back from CTH. The STARIS was still not working though. ): (EWL - EASTBOUND) -
Trainset 055 /056 (edited from 081/082) served North South line today, June 25 at around 11am. Taken it STARIS is working but there are some bug. ie When it reaches Yio Chu Kang the light say that it is in Khatib but thing when normal as it approches Ang Mo Kio.

Whoa, didn't expect it to commence operation so fast...just spotted on Mon w/o whole system installed yet! Well, my cousin, too, reported to have seen 001/002's STARIS in operation, but since there are little train fans here, spotting of trains become more difficult. Unless one of us here confirms with our own eyes to have seen the train's system in operation, info given will be rendered unreliable.
