seconds dont really matter.. when u enter the paid area, there are many large screens showing the timings and they dont have advertisements.. and when u see 1min, can start to run or hear the train pulling in

about the timings, now then i realise i didnt see >7mins timings anymore.. last time i saw a blank screen I thought got an incident happened and the last unaffected train is arriving...
about the seconds issue, dont think its very useful, unless we are saying the trains comes up to 59 seconds late or early, which they dont.. noone will expect them to arrive with a +/- difference of 0 seconds
SMRT one always most of e time are e ads, e small prints are hard to see from far
NEL one font size is bigger it seems
Whoo! long time since i seen RATIS timings reach double digits!
RATIS display at PSR (12/03/09), opposite platform train leaving in 3mins
WTH 10 mins to depart!
the waiting time wasn't 10 mins... it was at Pasir Ris and the train on the opposite platform was leaving in 3 mins (also the train going to Joo Koon). So actually the waiting time was for the train was 3 mins and then 6-7 mins

Platform A-Tanah Merah-Departing In 12 Mins
Platform B-Last Train- Tanah Merah-Departing In 24 Mins
Saw that once at Changi Airport like 2 weeks ago
but the waiting time for changi airport -tanah merah is always longer than pasir ris-joo koon or jurong east-marina bay.. so 12 mins is normal
time taken from pioneer to boon lay is less than 1 min just that the train drive tooo slow!
time taken from pioneer to jk was even less than 3 mins like 2.5 mins!

Agree. donno why the drivers drive so slowly. when the train leaves bnl and makes a curve, pioneer station is alr visible.

Normal speed, and slows down when approaching Joo Koon as there're trains in front.

Same as Pasir Ris. If there's a train at the station, the train approaching the station may stop.
