SINGAPORE : The much-awaited Circle Line 3 will open its first five stations on May 30 this year.
The five stations are: Bartley, Serangoon, Lorong Chuan, Bishan and
Marymount. Stage 3 of the project, which runs along Upper Paya Lebar,
Bartley Road and Marymount Road, will add close to 6 kilometres to the
rail network.
Transport Minister Raymond Lim gave this update in Parliament on Thursday.
The other stages of the Circle Line are expected to open from 2010 onwards.
When fully ready, the line is expected to ease about 10 to 15 per
cent of the current passenger load from the current North-South,
East-West Line. - 938LIVE
