the excalators are nice. i wonder why the Passenger Service Centre look so NEL-ish?
maybe they decided to "steal" some idea from the NEL..

They have a bigger room compared to the other stations. The Dover one also look very NEL-ish. I believe the new stations will be made this way instead of putting them in the middle...
ok, for those who've added me on facebook..

Wonder why the wider faregate (NEL , CCL, Changi Airport Station) is supplied by Thales while the standard faregates are the same as the ones in use at stations since 1987, albeit without the “hole” for the magnetic farecard in front. They didn’t even use the second generation ones found in Dover Station and Raffles Place Station with the front LED entry/exit sign. Recycling old stock?
And they pasted the wheelchair logo on the left instead of the right, a contrast to the standard of placing it on the right beneath the card reader on the faregates at NEL.
And even though its a new station just because its an SMRT station they still followed SMRT’s practice of having only 2 plasma displays at 1 location per platform. And we all know SMRT only flashes train arrival timings every 10 seconds or more. Its irritating enough not to be able to know what time the next train arrives and have to stare at the screen for 10 seconds, worse still, there are only 2 screens so its even harder to see the small font.
SBS Transit has the “always on” train arrival timings and not only that they even have 4 “without burn marks and crystal clear” LCD screens on all platforms.
And overall though the interior of the roofing is not worth a "wow!", its still decent and am overall appreciative that the station has wide platform space and looks capable of aging gracefully with time.
Just my two cents.
