Notice at Boon Lay MRT Station
From 15 Feb 09
Board train at Platform A
----------------------------------------------------------------
No Boarding at Platform B - For Alighting only
Note :
Platform A - towards Pasir Ris/Changi Airport
Platform B - towards Joo Koon(wef 28th Feb 09)

Today still has many people try to board train at Westbound platform.
Eastbound platform very crowded during AM Peak, but train frequency improved.

most likely between Pioneer and Joo Koon only.
main reason is because if you tap in at the station you board (e.g. Clementi) and when you reach Pioneer/Joo Koon without tapping out, the system would have no idea where you got off.
the same applies on the way back. without tapping in at Joo Koon/Pioneer and you tap out at Clementi, how would the system know where you got on?
the best that can be done is to program the faregates at Joo Koon/Pioneer to assume passenger got off at Boon Lay, but this disadvantages those getting on from Boon Lay itself..

17th Feb:
Still have many people who are unaware of the changes..
the trains are really running at 4 minutes, but that may be because its about 10am when i took it just now.

Become a habit already, so take some time to adapt to changes...
today the "next train out" sign light up when WB train apporaching, the announcement says WB train terminate at this stn so many people try waiting to board...

You mean:
"Attention please, the train approaching ('at' if the train's in the station already) Platform B (the WB platform), terminates its service at this station, the train approaching (at) Platform B, terminates its service at this station."?
Also they should put "Do not board" in the RATIS instead of "Boon Lay"... confuses some passengers.

Yup, the "next train out" sign should not be switched on too when the train is approaching Platform B, make people think the train is heading twds Pasir Ris as like last time...

The two stations have not officially opened. Might be doing some final tests...
trains doing their test runs..
TOs getting themselves familiarised with the 2 new stn so dat on the actual opening day got no hiccups..
then again, they might be preparing for tomorrow open hse..

must take bus there.. hahhaa, ok.. im off to there now..
Fk... i've missed it...
just wake up... dunno sti;; wanna go or not... sobb~!
Its common sense to test drive the tracks prior to official opening and usage.
This action also sets the commuters ready for which direction to take the correct train bound once the station is in operation on actual day.
