Anyone staying opp a LRT line , stop...
Will there be much noise as as i have chosen a unit at 7th floor.... i afraid the announcement and LRT will produce noise.
Try the trains forum for this.
Anyway, are you staying like along the tracks or in front of the station? The trains themselves are quite silent. The stations will have an announcement every like 5 minutes or less. But 7th floor quit safe lah, the station is maybe at 3rd/4th floor only.
not tt bad
most of the time u don't even notice it
or u will be immuned to it soon
well, if you want convenience then must sacrifice something which in this case are the noises (if any)..
I live near the Bukit Panjang LRT, and it is very noisy. But I gotten use to it already. I think you can hear a little bit, if you have sharp hearing. To me, there is no sound.
EDIT: Oops! You are living at 7th floor, sorry! You can't hear any sound from that high though. And I'm living at 2nd Floor.
Think of it as a noisy neighbour,
except you cant complain to HDB

yup... and the sacrifice is a 20-min feeder bus journey to the MRT station.

Sengkang/Punggol wise still ok, the vehicles are quieter (in fact you can't even hear the motor sound on street level except at the station, where it would still be relatively quiet). However, for Bukit Panjang, its a totally different story, opposite the track also can hear.

Not worth living near the LRT station.
First of all, there are no feeder bus services nor trunk services serving you cos the transport operators want you to utilize their LRT. So whatever bus services you see below your home will be like that for the next 20 years!
Secondly, think of the transport costs you have to pay for taking the LRT to transfer to the bus / MRT everyday
Thirdly, doesn't the view from your house looks ugly with train tracks below. =X

really take whatever? lol
go wrong place i find you =)

Eh you Bukit Panjang resident ah?
If you live in Sengkang or Punggol, your bus stop is less than 500m away (even at Blk 6XX Punggol), and have buses to the interchange (which usually comes every few minutes). It really depends on how the town and its transport system is planned, in the case of Sengkang and Punggol, it is quite well planned.
