Ah I see... I heard they would be deployed to help out with JR West side on the Hikari/possibly Hikari Railstar services. Well, due to the N700 taking over Nozomi duties I guess...
And also goodbye to the Series 0 from revenue services. What a nice journey...
I can still remember taking the Series 0/100 and the side panels of the train expands out when the train enters the tunnel, with the glass fittings making noises. Very interesting sounds that might become history very soon...
Correction: Just updated information, the JR West series 500 is going to be divided out to Kodama duties as well (means as a traveller we can take it with JR Passes) and is going to be 8 car configuration with V as compliment/consist code, and W remains as the 16 car code. W1 holds the highest rating in the whole fleet of 285kW motor per axle. All cars are powered.
