SINGAPORE : Passengers travelling on SMRT trains will now see signs encouraging them to be more courteous.
The latest additions in the trains are posted on "priority seats".
They have been put up by public transport operator SMRT, asking commuters to give up these seats to other passengers with special needs.
It is part of the company’s annual month—long nation—wide "Courtesy and Safety Programme". — CNA/ms

are they treating trains as SIA planes? priority seats, priority queues, priority lines, priority
i don't see a need in changing the names. it doesn't mean more people are going to give up their seats. i rather they spend more time thinking of other (in case this is high priority too) high priority things.
They might as well paste the sticker on the seat.
saw these stickers on some of the C651's too. but can't remember which set.

Did you see me? sounds like it.

If like this, will discourage more people from taking public transport.
even put the sign big big so the most pa jiao person can see i dun think attitudes will change.
u can have the biggest signage...
but some ppl can still pretend not to see 1...
people will still kam bin with newspaper, pretend to sleep, so and so.. so what if the sign cover the whole roof ontop of the seats. its useless
hurt their pockets and they will learn...
we are a 'fine' city, remember?
i love seating those ... makes me feel proud ....
i did tt before on an rather empty train but gave it up to ah mah at next stop :D
actually i find that its okay to sit on a priority seat, as long as you see someone in need, you will have to give up the seat. but it's just named priority cuz it's nearer to the door.
same rule goes for basically ALL the seats in the train. that's why i always stand and sit if it's quite empty.
Priority seats for ugly commuters full of lame reasons
